CHAPTER TWENTY SIX

Sarah got down and walked into the hall to see other elegant people but can't recognize them because of their masks
She remembered Watching some high school prom where the female lead was admired by everyone as soon as she entered the hall but seems this isn't her time
Everyone chatted with each other, a guy approached her. The guy clothes was indeed admirable and rich,
'He will indeed be an handsome dude' she thought admiring
"May I know you?" He asked and then she remembers the rule that no real names allowed
"Rosa" She said looking at him hoping no one has chosen that name
"I am Job" he said also "love your look"
"Thanks" She answered not even trying to know who the person is even though he isn't saying his real name
"So can we be friends?"
"Dude, we don't even know..."
"Just for the main time"
"Alright"
"Dude, your mom the cook called" a guy said from behind
'Mom? Cook?' Sarah thought as she turned to see another fella
"Excuse me" She walked away actually excusing her from their conversation
"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,  WELL TAKE POSITION BECAUSE WE ARE STARTING NOW. HERE'S OUR RULE:
1. WE CHOOSE FIVE GIRLS AND TWO BOYS
2. IF YOU AREN'T CHOSEN, YOU ARE NOT LUCKY
3. THE TWO BOYS CHOOSE A GIRL
4. THEY RELEASE THEIR MASKS, SO WE CAN SEE THE WINNER

ARE YOU ALL READY?"

Everyone cheered as they were all ready, Sarah looked excited as everyone took turns to show off their beauties
Then later, five girls and two boys were chosen
Fortunately, Sarah's part of the five girls but if she turns out that one of the boys chooses her then she won also
Sarah looked at the boys and saw Job. She knew that Job will win, so it wasn't a big deal now her prayers is for Job to choose her
The five girls faced the boys and the two boys did the same
Sarah found Job grinning and looked at the girls to find who is smiling with him but found none laughing with him then she looked at the other and found him frowning as if he never wants to be part or as if it irritates him to be here
Sarah minded her business as rule number three took place, the frowning guy chose Sarah and the so called job chose a mysterious girl
Then the guy whispered into Sarah's ear and said "I am the strange guy"
Sarah froze to look at him with shock like so much shock that filled her, she looked at him and didn't want to look away. She states freaking out a little
She remembered reading the letter where the strange said they will be meeting. How come he knows she is the one.
Was this all planned out and is that cook son also part of the plan
Then the rest of the girls went in disappointment to stay with the rest of the unlucky ones
So it seems, it is time to release the mask.
Sarah wants to know everything as soon as possible and can't wait but want to know now
She looked at the guy that was once frowning and now smiling and started guessing who the guy is
'Can it be Ray or Dan or who else, it can't be part of the grade 12 since they have been excluded' she thought as if she wanted to collapse
She heard mixed feelings (shock and afraid) on how she wants to know who that guy is

Sarah looked at the Job guy and saw him look at Sarah as if he regretted not choosing her but the girl next to him
Sarah felt like why was this happening to her, she knew that apart from knowing the strange guy identity, she will also see another shock, not only her but others who think she can't win
'I heard the rumour that says, whoever ends up together in the beauty peagent will end up dating each other' Sarah heard someone say
That word freaked her even more that she even started having thoughts,
'Wait, does that mean I will date him?' She asked herself looking at the strange guy and relaxed 'as far dating is a choice then it isn't by force to choose the strange guy of she doesn't like him' she smiled waiting for the host to continue the game (competition)
It was as if the host is keeping them in suspense
But after sometime the host replied, "IT IS TIME TO REMOVE YOUR...
