CHAPTER THIRTY FIVE
When Dave called Angel out, Dave stopped exactly when they reached the locker room
"What do you want?" Angel asked looking at his back facing her
"It hurt to say this but whatever you are doing to get back to Dan for me isn't worth it" Dave said still facing her with his back
Angel didn't really digest what he said "What do you mean?"
"Well, what I mean is that my feelings for you is long gone" he said turning to face her slowly and finally looked her face
"So what you mean is that I declined you because of Dan"
"Well, yeah. It is seriously obvious" Dave said putting his two hands in his pocket
"Well, it was because I don't like you till now"
"I get. I just want you to leave that girl for Dan because no other guy will want to date you for who you are but for your beauty. Ask Dan why he likes you if you think I am lying?"
"So you mean I won't get true love"
"Yes of course. If you had dated me you would have got me as your true lover"
"Lie!" She said looking at him furiously
"I know that is what you will think. Well, I loved you for everything that I was blinded by it before I knew it was stupid loving someone who isn't in you so I decided to go for someone who loves me"
Angel didn't give a response as she looked shocked
"I am currently dating the love of my life" he said smirking
"It is none of my business"
"As if I knew" he shrugged "well, that is all for you. I got to go because my girl friend seeks me" he said looking at his phone as if someone sent him a message
He left leaving Angel with full shock in her face
'Is he just saying this to get to me' she thought as she looked at him leave her behind

"It is nice of you to say that I should accompany you" Sarah said looking at his side face that is looking at the water
No response came from him as he looked at her and started sketching
"I didn't know you draw" she said "you look like one who doesn't" she added pulling his legs
Still no response from Ray
"You know you said I should accompany you and you are turning your ears deaf for me" Sarah added looking away from him and looking at the water
"I said you should accompany me and not disturb me" he said looking at her then continued his sketching
"So boring you are!" She said hissing out of frustration
Then silence came, it was awkward for Sarah and as she was about breaking the silence, he spoke up
"Here!" He said giving her the sketch, she collected it and admired the drawing that looked exactly like her
"Why me?" She asked looking at him expecting an answer
"I don't get" he said as he picked stones
"I mean why did you sketch me?"
"I sketched you because you are the only one here and I have no other choice"
"Was that why you told me to accompany you?" Sarah asked looking at him
"Wwll, yeah" he said closing his sketching book
"You need to be taught a lesson" Sarah said as she squeezed the paper with annoyance and threw it at him
"I guess this is the lesson you have taught me" He picked it up and looked at her before throwing it inside the water, he stood up to take a leave
"You are so rude" she said as she stood up to face him
He looked away before looking at the short Sarah at the front of him
"And I love the way I am" he said
"What is wrong with you?" She asked as she noticed the sadness in his tone
"Why do you care?" He asked looking at her
His face so cute like the one of baby's, it was as if Sarah should squeeze it and kiss it
"I care because we are friends and friends care for each other" she said with so much truth in it
"So you still on the friendship stuff" he said looking at her before looking away
"Yeah, why not"
"Forget about that"
"Oh God, you look so cute" she said trying to reach his face
He held her hand and looked at her as if she was mad
"I know I am cute and it doesn't mean you touch my face"
"Come on, it won't hurt" she said still trying to reach it, he then released her hand and she squeezed his face and loved the softness
Ray looked at her and wondered who she was doing this to him, but it hurt for him to say it was lovely for her touching his face
