The offer! James

Trigger warning: mentions of abuse and self destructive thoughts!

James Fleamont Potter was a college  student in Scotland he was studying health but he was also on the football (soccer) team; James wanted to go pro in football. James is from London but he moved to Scotland to study at Hogwarts university; Hogwarts has a very well known football team and you have to be really good to be on the team. James and his best friends, Sirius and Peter, all go to Hogwarts James and Sirius are on the Gryffindor football team but Peter is on the Gryffindor Tennis team.

One day James was leaving practice on his own because Sirius stayed late to keep practicing for a big game in a weeks time. While James was walking out to his car a woman approached him she then proceeded to ask him to come on this show that would be airing in a few weeks. James told the woman he would have to check his schedule and see if he was open. The woman gave him her number and told him to let her know.

James drove home completely clueless as to what had just happened. Once he got home he ordered food for him and Sirius figuring Sirius would be home soon. When Sirius got home the food arrived about 5 minutes later. The two boys sat down and ate. After they ate James decided to tell Sirius about what had happened .

"Mate guess what happened today after practice!"

"What happened?"

"This woman approached me-"

"Did she ask you out!?!?"

"No. She asked me to come on this new show their airing in a few weeks!"

"No way mate that's awesome!"

"Wait what did you say!?"

"I told her I would have to check my schedule and let her know."

"Oh well that's still awesome! Congratulations mate!"

"Thanks Padfoot!"

"How did practice go?"

"Oh- uh... y-yeah it... was good"

"Are you sure?"

" yeah it was good thanks for asking!"

"Okay..."

"Yeah you know Remus the commentator?"

James nodded

"Yeah well he came and helped me run drills!"

James didn't like how hesitant Sirius was when he said that but ignored that he trusted Sirius.

"Oh cool, but you could've just asked me you know?"

"Yeah I know but i didn't want to keep you back."

"I wouldn't have minded."

"Yeah I know I'm sorry."

"No, no, no, it's fine padfoot you don't have to be sorry just know that I don't mind helping you I know you're struggling after your injury but you're doing really good don't be so hard on yourself."

Sirius had a knee injury last year and he was out for the rest of the season he had torn his ACL and had needed surgery for it. Sirius had lived in a household where if you didn't succeed at the highest level you were beaten so now he tended to be really hard on himself and he would apologize for things that he didn't need to and fall into a dark mindset really easy so James decided that he would try his best to not let that happen. Sirius was a really tough person but he's also a person with a lot of trauma that only few know about James being one of them so he decided to try and help him.

"I know prongs thank you."

James and Sirius talked for a while then later decided to go to bed as both of them were exhausted. After getting ready for bed James climbed into bed and fell into a dreamless sleep.
