Chapter 1

The two teens laid in the snow for a few moments, shocked that they had survived the fall. Tanjiro was the first to sit up realizing he didn't have y/n in his arms anymore. Nezuko sat up after him, looking around she spotted their little sister over by a tree. "y/n!" The two were quick to get back on their feet, they ran to the child's aid nezuko falling to her knees and pulling the dazed girl into her arms. "y/n! Are you ok? Are you hurt?" Tanjiro knelt beside the ravenette looking over the small girl in her lap. "She seems unharmed." y/n looked up at her siblings her once burgundy orbs were now a beautiful ruby. "What?" Nezuko looked at her brother then back at her sister, 'Did her eye's change color?' she thought. Nezuko shook her head not thinking about it, she grabbed her hiori and pulled it around y/n who snuggled into it.

"Don't worry y/n we'll get you to town and–" Nezuko was cut off when tanjiro suddenly shoved them both down, a sword flew right over the spot nezukos head had once been, slicing off Tanjiros small ponytail he had in the process. The strength of the blow was strong enough to send the sibling rolling into a tree, Tanjiro took the blunt of the blow. He let out a pained grunt as his back met the sturdy surface of bark. The newcomer turned to the trio, his sword ready to strike again. Tanjiro was in too much pain to move y/n tried to comfort her brother and help him sit up, Nezuko took her brother's hatchet and got up to guard her siblings.

The dark haired man suddenly disappeared, Nezuko was shocked, she took a deep breath and focused on her surroundings 'the left!' she turned and swung the hatchet just barely missing the man's surprised face. 'She knew where I was coming from!' The man thought as he jumped back, "You stay away from us! I don't know why you attacked us but you will pay for it!" Nezuko was pissed, how dare this man attack the last bit of family she had. "That girl." The man spoke pointing his sword towards y/n who was hugging her brother's side in an attempt to ease his pain. Nezuko looked at the man with a confused look, "You are aware she's a demon, right?" The man's acusacion made nezuko freeze. 'y/n a demon? No! That can't be, she didn't try to attack us' Nezuko thought looking back at her brother and sister then back at where the man was, "wait where did?" The man was gone.

"Y/N!!" Tanjiro shouted, Nezuko quickly turned to her brother y/n was no longer with him... "Never turn your back on the enemy." At the sound of the man's voice Nezuko zipped around to face him. He was holding y/n in a very uncomfortable position, his arm wrapped around her neck almost choking her. Y/n wiggled around letting out small noises of discomfort. "You put her down right now!" Nezuko glared at the man as if she was gonna kill him, and she fully intended to if he hurt y/n. Using the tree behind him for balance, Tanjiro struggled but got himself off the ground. "Demon or not! y/n wouldn't hurt anyone! She would never harm a human! We'll make sure of it!" Tanjiro painfully yelled, his back still ached but he had to help even just a little! "Yeah! No matter what, we will find a way to fix this! To turn our imoto human again!!" The man before them shook his head with dissatisfaction.

He threw y/n to the ground harshly causing the small girl to let out a pained huff. He seated his foot on her back, raised his sword, "DON"T!" the two teens cried out. Y/n cried out in agony as the sword pierced her right shoulder...Tanjiro picked up a large rock throwing it at the man Nezuko used the destruction to run around a tree, the two worked in perfect harmony one distraction the other attacked. 'Pathetic...' the man thought, using his sword to deflect the stones being thrown at him. Nezuko came running at the man, her hands behind her and out of sight. 'How stupid.' the man raised his hand and stuck nezuko in the back of her neck, effectively knocking her out. 'Wait..where did her hatchet go?' The man looked surprised at the girl before him who was empty handed.

He turned to face tanjiro who now had the hatched, he jumped back just before the sharp blade could strike him. The blade embedded itself into the bark of the tree. It took Tanjiro a few good pulls to get it loose, once it was free he went straight at the man again. Y/n got up running quickly to her sister's side, the man panicked for a moment thinking she was going to take a bite out of the ravenette. To his surprise however the tiny tot only hugged her sister's side, shaking the girl slightly and making meaningless whines and cries at the girl. He thought back to what the tanjiro had said earlier, 'maybe...these three are truly different...' using the opportunity he put his sword away and side chopped the teen's neck knocking him out as well. He dragged the boy over to the two girls y/n stood before her sister's body in an attempt to guard her.

"Don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt them, or you." The man spoke softly, trying not to scare the small girl. "I'm sorry about before, truly I didn't want to hurt you but it's part of my job." He crouched down to her height offering his hand to her. "See I have a friend just like you. We've been trying to find others like her. So finding you is like a blessing." Y/n looked up at the man with curiosity, she slowly approached him placing her tiny hand into his. "I'm Giyuu, Tomioka Giyuu." y/n used both her tiny hands to semi shack his larger one, Giyuu's heart almost melted from just how adorable it was.

After about an hour Nezuko jumped up looking around frantically, Y/n ran into her sister's arms, a small piece of bamboo now tied around her mouth. "y/n! You're ok!" Nezuko hugged the small girl tightly relieved. "I'd like to apologize for earlier, it's just part of my job. You're sister and I have already made amends." Giyuu was leaning against a tree. Not too far from the three. "Once he wakes up find a man named Sakonji Urokodaki, who lives at the foot of Mt. Sagiri. Tell him Tomioka Giyuu sent you." Giyuu turned about to leave but stopped when small arms wrapped around his leg. He looked down to little y/n, "One more thing, it's cloudy right now so she should be fine but whatever you do, don't let your sister in sunlight." Giyuu patted the small girl's head then disappeared in an instant.
