chapter 44

That evening was filled with tension. Damon was still in a foul mood, the attack was taking place tommorow. The boys and Alesandro knew it was happening. Alesandro had taken a fatherly approach and pulled both Damon and Mason into his office when they were all home. He was fussing over them especially Damon who was only just fully recovered from being shot.
He knew his boys could handle themselves but he still worried.

After he dismissed Damon who went to his office he had mason stay behind. At first they discussed Emilia and the incident. She had quickly become more relaxed after spending the rest of the afternoon with Mason. After discussing Emilia, Alesandro changed the topic.

"I trust Damon will get the job done but watch his back. I know he can handle himself but with her....I feel his anger will cloud his judgement"

"He wants to end her life unfortunately or I would shoot her on sight" Mason said.

Alesandro nodded. How he would love to kill her but he knew Damon had to be the one, it would help him.

At dinner that night everyone was present and Emilia could sense the tension. Damon looked deep in thought but it was more like deep in murderous thoughts. She darent speak to him, she knew he wouldn't hurt her but her trauma still haunted her.

Of course Damon wasn't in the mood to talk to any of his family so he didn't realise.

Alesandro had told Dante and Matteo that Emilia had an headache as an explanation for why Dante wasn't driving her home. Damon hasn't been told anything.

"Ok enough of this. How was everyone's day. Does anyone have any news. Anything?" Alesandro had always treated dinner time as a time to catch up with his boys...and obviously Emilia now.

"It was good"  Matteo replied not liking how quiet it was. He then began to talk about everything that happened today.

Dante rolled his eyes at his brothers chattiness. He had a wonderful day too, he got to beat up Luca's friends. He wasn't aware they had hurt his sister but he was angry and with Luca gone he turned to them to let out his anger.

Luca had been officially dealt with. He had been roughed up a bit but ultimately sent to prison for possession of drugs. They wanted to send him away for attempted rape but Emilia didn't want to tell anyone else what happened and so acting in her best interest Alesandro made sure he was sentenced instead of fined. He wasn't 18 so he was classed as a minor but Alesandro promised when the boy got out at 18, he would send him straight back to prison but this time a prison for adults.

"My day was fantastic. Although I now have a week's detention. Worth it though" Dante replied grinning.

"Oh and Emilia tell your stupid friend to back off" Dante continued. He had, had enough of Sophia.

"Oh yeah I forgot that. Sophia was asking about you and she confronted me at first and I told her how you wasn't feeling well and then Dante came to meet me and told her to go away and she insulted him and they must have been insulting each other for a good few minutes" Matteo explained. Alesandro smiled knowing he had to meet Sophia. Preferable when Dante was about.

"What is wrong with her" Damon asked snapping out of his thoughts. His voice still cold and lacked emotion, his accent coming through though with his sharp tone.

"She just a headache" Alesandro replied dismissing it. He had already spoken to Emilia and sorted everything out with her.

"Is that all Emilia" Damon asked knowing Emilia would struggle to lie.

"Yes" she muttered but she stuttered a little.

"You don't seem sure" he replied.

"I..I am" she tried.
