Ch 10

Fatima's POV:

I woke up hours later.

I seen the doctor.

"Hey... how you feeling?" She said.

"Terrible..." I immediately asked about the baby.

"Oh fuck .... Is my baby ok?"

"Yes he's fine. Congratulations, it's a boy!"

I gasped. A boy? Awww I'm too excited I started to cry & rub my belly.

"How's my leg?" I asked.

She turned around

"It's fine. Not sure what caused the bleeding though. But your husband & your friend outside... they got into a fight... want me to call them in?"

I nodded. She went outside and got them.

"Hey... baby." Zac said as he kissed my cheek.

I looked at Ian.

"What the hell you doing here?" I said

"Damn I can't come check on you? I'm the one who brought you here... and I told yo boy what happened."

I looked at Zac he was getting upset. I touched his arm.

"What he say to you?" I said concerned.

"He told me..." he moved his arm.

"Y'all had sex a couple weeks ago & that's his baby, is that true?" He looked at me.

"IS IT TRUE FATIMA? CUZ IF IT IS YOU CAN HAVE HIM! ILL WALK OUT THIS DOOR & NEVER COME BACK!" He yelled.

I was scared.

"No, babe. he's lying he wants me! I'd never cheat on you! That man broke my heart & you fixed it!"

He calmed down. He looked at the nurse.

"Get him out of here. NOW!"

She rushed Ian out the door. And closed it behind her.

I looked at him.

"Babe... come here.... Please?" I said reaching out for him.

He came by my side but he was looking away.

"LOOK AT ME!" I yelled.

He looked into my eyes.

"I would NEVER EVER hurt you in any kind of way, shape or form. We had vows right? I stand by it! He's dying anyways! He has fucking cancer! Don't believe him. I love you" I kissed him & he finally kissed me back.

I pulled away.

"It's a boy..." I whispered.

He looked at me.

" huh? A boy! A BOY!!!!" He screamed

I shushed him.

"Yes!"

He rubbed my belly & kissed it.

"You have a name picked out?" I asked.

"Xavier Dre Taylor" he said smiling.

I loved that name.

"I love it!" I said .

The doctor came back in.

"I think I found the solution... the bullet is still in ur leg. We might have to do surgery. It's messing w/ your health as well, Mrs. Taylor. It could cause some serious damage to your baby boy. We will start surgery right away!" She said looking at her clip board.

I nodded then look at Zac.

"It's fine. I'll be here all night if I got to... make sure you take care of my babies doc..." he said kissing me & leaving the room.

Surgery? Ugh I held my tummy & tears was falling down my face.

I inhaled deeply.

Then I felt my body drift away & everything went black.

Zac's POV:

I stepped outside the room & immediately I went to go get coffee but I turned around & seen 5-8 nurses run into Fatima's room.

I panicked & rushed to the door.

I looked thru the window & seen her having a seizure.

Tears started to form in my eyes.

"FATIMAAAAA!!!!!!!" I screamed in horror.

I fell to my knees.

God why! Please save my wife & my unborn child please! I beg you.

Hours went by & I jus sat in the chair next to the door.

The doctor finally came out.

"Hi, Mr Taylor... I'm doctor Rodney." He said w/ his hand out. I shook it.

"Hi... is my wife & child okay?" I asked looking into the small window.

"Yes... but the seizures she had is messing w/ her brain. So she may have some memory loss."

Memory loss? Wtf.

"Okay... do you think she will remember me?" I asked.

"Probably so... im not sure.  But you can go in there. The surgery was successful tho. She may be in here for a couple days so we can keep an eye on her & your kid."

I nodded & we walked into the room.

She was laying down then she looked at me.

"Doc... who's this?" She said.

That broke me. She doesn't know me.

"I'm your husband... Zac." I said sitting down.

"Zac..." she said thinking.

She looked at me & smiled.

"I love that name... nice to meet you."

I sighed.

"Likewise... you feeling ok?" I said coming a bit closer.

She looked in my eyes.

"Uh yes... im okay. Hurting but I'll be fine."
