Footsteps follow me, as I'm running for my life. The night sky is pitch black. Sweat is covering my forehead. I'm running out of breath and it's going to catch up to me. With the best option I can think of, I run into a school bus and duck behind a seat. Heavy steps start to go up the bus's stairs and descending down the aisle. A crack sounds out, like some sort of weapon.

Before she reaches my row, I jump up and start attacking her. I swipe at her face and kick her down to the ground. I take this opportunity to step over her and run out of the bus. Through all of that I still didn't get a look at her face.

Although I don't stop weaving in between the cars and buses, trying to find a way out. Suddenly a black truck pulls up Infront of me.

"Get in," the driver says. I look behind me and I see that there is still no one there.

"Come on, she's coming. Get in!" I don't protest anymore and hop into the car. I sit in the seat trying to catch my breath but the car locks. I turn towards him.

"Seriously, I can't believe you fell for that". That's when I notice who it is, sitting in the driver's seat, Garret. I stare at him with confusion and before I know it, he grabs out a knife. I try to scream, but all that came out was a gasp. He slices through the air aiming it towards my chest.

I wake up, gasping for air. My heart is pounding a thousand miles per hour. Sweat dripping from my forehead. It takes me a little bit, but I finally steady my breath. I look outside and see it's still dark. I've been having these nightmares for a few days and haven't been able to get a full night's rest.

Knowing I won't be able to get back to bed, I grab my computer from the desk and my journal from the draw. Ever since the party I've given up on Sean and have started focusing on werewolves, writing down anything and everything in my journal.

Not realizing the time, I look up and see light shining through my windows. I fully open the curtains and embrace the start of a new day. A fresh, stress, and weird free day. Changing into some jeans paired with white vans and a maroon-colored long shirt, I let my Hair fall down into its natural curls for the day. Already smelling the smell of pancakes, I start walking down the stairs. Just before I round the corner into the kitchen, I hear my dad on the receiving end of a phone call.

"Morning, sweetheart" He whispers and gives me a kiss on my forehead as I lean to reach for the root of my hunger. Not soon after, the call finishes.

"Looks like grandma is coming over next weekend if the weather is all clear." He speaks.

Excitement runs through my veins. "Really! It's been a while since we've last seen her. I miss her, and the stories she tells."

"Me too pumpkin." he looks down at his watch, as his eyes go wide. "Shit, I need to go to work. I can give you a lift to school, if you like?"

"It's alright dad. I don't want to be too early, plus you know how much I like the walk." He gives me one last kiss on the cheek before heading out the door. Not too long after I do the same, shoving my headphones in to fill the silence.

Another day, entering the blue double doors. A sigh escapes my lips, already dreading the long hours ahead of me. I even have to stay later for the game, Mason is forcing me to go to tonight. Speaking of Mason, he is supposed to be meeting me at my locker right about now. I turn around and just like clockwork he's walking towards me. We greet each other and start walking towards our first class of the day; calculus.
