BEEP! BEEP! I slap the alarm off, turning around, to check the time. "Shit". I'm late. very late. Basically sprinting, I grab my bag and a quick breakfast then head out the door.

I arrive at outside the big blue double doors, as the bells goes off. Usually, it doesn't affect my ears, no matter how close I am. Sometimes I don't even hear it, but for some reason, it is loud today, and not just 'that kind of hurts loud' but ear piercing loud. To try and muffle out the noise, I cover my ears with my hands. As the volume increases, I bend over with pain. It feels like forever, but the bell eventually stops. I just stand there speechless and confused. Seeing my teacher walk out his office, through the doors window, breaks me out of the daydream and remember the rush I was in.

Running into the building, I sprint into class and sit next to Mason. Straight afterwards the teacher comes in. I sigh in relief glad that I just made it. "Psssp" I turn my head and Mason starts whispering "Hey, are you going to tryouts?" "What try outs?" I say confused. my mind still focused on what just happened. "What do you mean? The lacrosse tryouts remember?" Mason says pointedly "Oh yeah, sure I'll meet you there."

Arriving at the tryouts, I start looking for Mason in the crowd. I spot him waving for me to come over. "Hey" I say sitting down next to him. "Thought you ditched me" he replied "you wish" I say jokingly then continuing "it's not like you're here to watch the guys get all sweaty anyways." He rolls his eyes at my comment but doesn't deny it "I'm here to support an old friend, actually" he replies.

I look up, now actually trying to pay attention to the tryouts. This guy throws the ball right into the goalie's stick. I hold back my laughter and turn to Mason, seeing he's doing the same. " That would be me if I ever tried out" "Ha me too, don't worry." I reply.

The next guy tries, and it goes straight pass the goalie and into the goal. "Woah" I say in amazement. "Remember the friend I was talking about?" Mason says,"mhm" I reply as I keep my eye on the guy. "Yeah, that's him" "oh yeah...wait what?" I say, finally realizing what he said, "Yeah I know, he got taught by his Stepdad." Mason states "Wow" I look at my watch and realize where I have to be, "oh shoot I have to go to the hospital, see ya tomorrow" I stand up, saying goodbye and start jogging out.

I volunteer in my spare time, helping Melissa with patients. I'm currently helping her with one she said that was involved in a police investigation. "Are you sure you don't want to eat something?" Melissa asks Sean, but he just replies with a yes. I leave, feeling that I was not needed there anymore, Melissa thanking me as I leave.

I turn the corner to the receptionist desk and see Two guys holding up Masons friend. "Gosh, wonder what happened to his leg"" I mumble under my breath and turn around to the receptionist before they notice me. Little did I know one of those boys has super hearing. Melissa comes around the corner and one of the sophomores greets her as 'Mom.'

So that's Scott. Melissa has told me a little bit about him when I've helped her.

Doing my rounds, I open Sean's door. "Sean, the sheriff Is coming, so you're going to have to wake up." Flicking the light on, my eyes go straight to the empty bed. "Sean?" I ask to thin air. Walking around the bed, I gasp. The air gets taken out of me. "This can't be real" I think. My breathing gets unsteady, and anxiety is dripping out of me. Sean is eating the guts out of the security guard." I couldn't help myself, I'm just so HUNGRY!" He yells. The first thing I notice is his teeth, thousands of them. Then his eyes; changed from their usual brown, to a piercing yellow. My stomach drops and I know, this moment could be my last. I start bolting out of the room, but he gets a hold of me as I enter the hallway. "GET OFF OF ME. HELP, SOMEONE HELP ME!" I yell, screaming at the top of my lungs, not stopping till my throat hurts. Tears brim my eyes, I can't die today, not like this.

Then it came, the scream, or roar? I couldn't tell but it got Sean distracted. I take this chance to get off of him and run for hell. I sit and curl myself into ball in a corner. I can't physically look anywhere but the ground, and I don't want too either. My head down, showing everyone the brown roots of my hair. I hear someone get thrown into the wall and another run off.

I jump when someone starts talking. "Are you okay?". Even now I don't look up, but just nod my head.

Turning the nob on the shower; hot water starts pouring down on me. I came straight home after the incident. cleaning myself up and going straight to bed. My appetite gone after what I witnessed. It took me a while but once I closed my eyes, all I could see was his yellow eyes staring straight back at me. I can't or won't believe what I saw today. It isn't possible. I mean he was normal, and then he was, ... well ... that.

I don't think I got an ounce of sleep that night.

But Little did I know that day changed everything.
