*Your POV*

"Why can't you be a normal child and just listen to us for once?!" Dad shouted.

"If you hate me so much why don't you just put me up for adoption then. It would make ALL our lives easier." I said back.

"Clary! Stop being so rude to your father! We just want you to grow up like a normal-"

I cut Mum off shouting, "What's normal about our family?! We all hate each other! You and dad are basically divorced! Jonah and Dad fight all the time! We all fight all the time! It's like only me and Jonah get along!" I saw their faces. They looked shocked. Hurt. But they did it as a lie, to make me stop. Like they always do, but Jonah looked untouched, as if he was telling me to carry on. "Don't even try to use that trick on me. I'm done with you two trying to pull that same trick on us. Trying to look like we hurt your feelings when all we do is tell the truth."

"Always knew you were a failure. You were always the reason we fell out, from the day you were born. We were a happy little family before you. Me, your mother and Jonah. People wanted to be our family. They were jealous. Then you came along and fucked it up for us. You stupid little whore. Going to all those parties, getting drunk. How are you not dead yet?" My father spat every word at me. I felt the hatred in his words. "Why would anyone be friends with a worthless, filthy slut like you?"

I walked over to the front door of my open planned flat and held it open for my parents. "Just leave already."

"Clarice, come on dear. Don't be silly. We can work this out, dear. We can all go back to the country-house. We'll spent a week there, we can work on our problems. Get better."

"Mum, don't try and win us over with the country-house. It never worked. We never spoke out there. Me and Clary ran away for the day. Every day. Like Clary said, just leave already." Jonah spoke up, clearly annoyed with our parents. I could see Jonah tensing his fists as Dad edged towards me. "Hurt her and I'll make you regret it." Jonah hissed. That's when Mum grabbed Dad's and dragged him out. Mum tried to give me a sympathetic look but I just closed the door on her. They walked away, not a single word from them. Nothing at all. Nothing to say goodbye, and that's how we wanted it for so many years.

*Three hours later*

"Jonah, go stay with Asha. She'll be there for you, she knows what mum and dad are like." I said as Jonah went to walk home.

"I will, you ring Josh. He's your best friend. He'll be there for you." He mumbled into my hair. We let go and he left with a small, fake smile.

*20 minutes later*

"Hey Joshy. How are you?"

"Not too good hearing you now, what's happened?"

"The usual. Parents came over and started shouting and screaming. Rung Jonah. Things got heated-"

"Did he hit either of you?"

"No. No. They didn't. They wouldn't, why would you think that?"

The line went quiet for what seemed like an eternity. Then I realized what Josh was asking about.

"Josh, those bruises were from kickboxing, and the ones on my legs where from were I tried a new move in gymnastics. My parents would never hurt us physically. Just every other way."

"Okay, good. Sorry about cutting you off. Carry on."

"Right, where was I? Oh yeah. Jonah finally cracked and we kicked them out. Jonah left a few hours later, then I sat down and thought of what I was going to say to you. Now, we're here."

"Clary, who's house are you in?"

"Mine, Josh, why?"

"I'm on my way, I'll be about five minutes."

"Okay."

"Oh. Just been told, the boys are coming too. See You in five."

Josh hung up and I picked up a blanket from the blankets and pillows that me and Jonah were sat under earlier. I walked to the kitchen and got a drink, sat at the island and stared at my glass. Voices came from down the corridor and a loud bang, followed by a roar of laughter. Josh had a key to the door and walked in, telling the others to be quiet.

"Clary. Where are you?" Josh called out.

"Kitchen."

They all walked into the kitchen and saw the mess I was. Wrapped in a quilt, in my Marvel pajamas and a half empty bottle of vodka beside me. My Dad was right about one thing I guess, I was always getting drunk.

"Clary."

"Hey Josh." I said smiling as I slowly fell forward.

"Oh Clary, what have you done?" Josh said as he wlaked over and held me upright. I turned to face him. I saw how much he did for me in that moment. From the first day we met.

"I'm so sorry. You said five minutes, I thought that would only be enough time for one glass not half a bottle. How long were you?" I spoke my words slowly starting to slur.

"Half hour, Jonah stopped us so you could have some time to cool down."

"He thought you'd let off some steam smashing stuff, not drink it away." Simon spoke up, well I think it was Simon. I heard the guys mumble to each other and next thing I knew I was being carried to the living room.

"Jonah beat us to it." Harry laughed.

Josh, who had carried me, put me down in the middle of the pile and sat next to me. Harry sat the other side. Simon walked in with something in a bowl. JJ had water. Ethan and Vikk were looking at films to watch and Tobi went to get me a hoodie to wear. JJ handed me water and Josh made sure I drank it. Everyone came and sat in the pile and we did the usual. We turned into a human burrito.

I must have fallen asleep because I woke up with the sun high in the morning sky and the boys were eating breakfast around me.

"Good morning, Clary." Josh said.

"I don't want to say in this house. I want to leave. Forget them."

"Come live with us then. We have a spare room." Vikk said.

"Thank you, I'll get my stuff packed and ready in like 20 minutes." I said running off to my room. Josh stood in the doorway of my room.

"Need a hand?" he offered.

"Please."

We scrambled around the room and threw all my stuff in one of my two suitcases. As Josh a shoe into the case, I moved to get my shirt from underneath it. My shoe hit me square in the forehead. Josh stopped and jumped over my bed to me.

"Shit, are you okay?" he asked, cupping my face in his hands.

"I'm fine, just a bit sore. You did just hit me with a shoe."

"Accidentally." He whispered, getting closer to my face. His lips touched mine and I kissed back. I put my hands on his arms. Josh pulled away and I smiled.

"If I come live with you, will that happen more often?" I asked.

"Yes." He replied with a kiss.
