Screaming silence
assaulted her senses;

Bittersweet memories
of the dark past
crept up in her mind;

Blood dripping
in between her legs...
her hands
and legs are tied
her naked body
full of bruises and burns
as her cousins took her by force...

Anger
Pain
Betrayal
Loneliness
runs fiercely
in her bloodstream

Broken pieces
of shattered dreams
and dignity
wounded her soul

She stood up
Prayed fervently
but the devils laughed
and mocked her

She stood up
and
escaped ...

Silent shrieks
and muted screams
blanketed the room,
as the blood-soaked
knife glistened
and her tears fell...
she just had her first kill.
