CHAPTER 20

The next day Avu woke up first. He was backhugging her again. She smiled to him.

Avu(in mind)- I don't understand our relation. This monkey is so irritating that he doesn't even say anything openly. I know you deserve better Siddharth, but maybe we can give this a chance...maybe we can stay in a relationship...but you say nothing. If you don't, then at least stop giving the feeling that you love me.

She got up without disturbing him and the day went usual.

Lets skip 4 months. Their relation stayed the same.... both felt they loves each other but weren't sure and confident about it.

They were having coffee.

Sid- So tomorrow is the last day of your college.
Avu- Hmm... I will miss my friends.

Sid- do you have any future plans?
Avu- Siddharth....woh...

He smiled at her which assured her to speak without hesitation.

Avu- I have wanting to study science and technology, so I have decided to join xyz organisation. I have also appealed an exam and the results will be out tomorrow. If I get selected, I will have to stay in their hostel for 6 months and then if they likes my work, I will get selected as a worker with a good amount of salary.

He just nodded as his reaction. He didn't want her to go.... not that he didn't want her to achieve success but just wanted her to stay with him. 

They had their coffee in awkward silence.

The next day Avneet bidded bye to her friends. She returned home with a paper in her hands. She waited for Siddharth to come. 
Soon he returned and saw her with a happy yet sad face

Sid- How was you day?
He asked smiling while keeping this bag and loosing his tie.

Avu- I...got chance in that organisation.
She replied a total different answer running out of excitement and nervousness.

He looked at her for a few seconds sharing the same expression she had as he entered which was of happiness as well as sadness, but soon got normal.

Sid- Congratulations Avneet, we should celebrate it!!!
Avu- Thanks...(getting shy) and seriously, celebration? Just for getting a chance!

Sid- yeah. Even I did it when I got the job, I enjoyed myself with the little I had. I know how exciting it feels.
She smiled at his statement.

Avu- okay I will prepare something.
Sid- I will join you too after freshening up.
She nodded to him.

She thought to make (your favorite food).
He cut the salad joining her and the food was about to get prepared.

Avu- Siddharth...
Sid- Wot?

Avu- Our college has kept a farewell party the day after tomorrow. And I will  be joining the organisation the next month which is after a few days so I can attend it. So...
Sid- so?

Avu- I don't want to put it as a burden to you but will you go there with me?
Sid- No Avneet, why will it be a burden! Instead I will be happy to join you.

She smiled at him and turned to cook the last part of the dish. She studied in a girls college and lot her friends wanted to see siddharth in person though they has seen his picture.

Suddenly she felt two hands getting wrapped around her waist. She shivered knowing its him. He backhugged her putting his chin to her neck.

Though she didn't say anything but he knew she wanted to ask her what he was up to.

Sid- Any problem like this?
Avu- Yeah. I am having difficulty in cooking.
Sid- No worries, we can eat burnt food.
Avu- I am done I will serve now. 

He pouted which made her chuckle.
They had their dinner and slept. 

Avu(in mind)- Why does he behave as if he is my boyfriend at times, and the next he acts as if we are just friends!
(She blushed recalling his act.)

Sid(in mind)- I hope she doesn't take my acts seriously. Pata nahi kya ho jata hai.... (I don't know what happens) I act weirdly.
(He mentally rubbed the back of his neck.)
