The Mainframe was always silent and empty. Not a single SOUL in sight- well, except for Error404. The proclaimed 'God of the Multiverse' himself.

-x-

Error404 watched his apprentice, mismatched eyelights taking in every second of the battle between the two Gods.

Ink, God of Creation, was his sworn enemy for two reasons:

One; He was following FATE'S sickening trap.
Two; He was dumb and incredibly manipulative.

But, he couldn't deny the fact that he gave a small amount of respect to the Creator.

*Boom*

His sockets widened when he saw Error, God of Destruction and his most successful apprentice, full of injuries.

It both shocked and angered him to see his apprentice retreat to the Anti-void.

" So, he finally decided to let th Creator of Stupidity win? How... disappointing..."

He scowled, blue teeth slightly sharpening- he closed his sockets and calmed down.

" He better win next time."

But Error didn't win the next battle or the others.

It frustrated him but also concerned him a tiny bit, as well as curious.

He took note how every battle was shorter than the last, and how Error seemed to get scared more easily, even if he didn't show it.

" Something's not right."

He opened a rift, eyelights gone as his permanent grin turned upside-down in pure shock.

" So that's why his battles are shorter..."

He saw Error, a Kitsune body with glitches around him.

He finally got his mythical creatures' spirit.

" Should I teach him?"

He basically created Error and dumped him in the Anti-void, not even bothering to teach him.

" Why not?"

He entered the rift, a glint in his eyelights.

...

His body shook, ears lowered and tails between his legs.

He was a Kitsune, a mythical creature that were only in certain aus.

" We finally meet, Error."

He snapped his skull at the voice, seeing a skeleton like him with pure white bones and even more glitchy than him.

" How do you know my name?!"

He got into a defensive stance, fangs exposed while his tails shook in agitation.

The skeleton didn't seem phased by his actions.

" I'm the one who created you, left you alone with memories of how to use your abilities and magic."

His creator?

" And my name is Error404."

His eyelights sharpened, growls escaped his throat.

" I'M GONNA KILL YOU!"

He appeared behind 404, claws ready to tear him apart- he was gone. Instead of the skeleton, a massive dragon took his place.

" I'd like to see you try."

The dragon spoke, eye sockets narrowed as its blue and white wings flared open.

-x-

The battle was fierce, blasters and magic collided with one another.
...

Error's body gave up, injuries from Ink re-opened and oozed with blue bone marrow. He was tired.

" Giving up already?"

A weak growl escaped his throat, fangs bared and glistened against the light the Anti-void produced.

" Or is it something else?"

His body reacted, standing up to only fall back down.

His leg...

" Hmm, ironic,"

He lowered his ears, tails in the air as he growled a warning.

" A broken leg during battle."

The dragon came closer, head lowering to be face to face with the young Kitsune.

" That won't do."

Error let out a pathetic whimper, the sound almost quiet but he knew for a fact that 404 heard it.
...

Something in him snapped after hearing that whimper, something that broke the shell of fierce, anger and authority.

Protect...

He felt the need to protect him, his apprentice, his son.

Without realizing it, he took the Kitsune in his jaws completely, not paying attention to what was happening.

" LET ME GO! LET ME GO YOU FU- MPH!"

His words processed in his mind, ignoring it and swallowed, bringing the Kitsune entirely into his throat.

He swallowed again, feeling the Kitsune slide down his throat to where his crop was.

...

He felt the smaller enter his crop, struggling in an attempt to escape from their prison.

He wasn't going to let him go, not with those injuries. Slowly, he sat down with absolute gentleness and caution. He didn't want to injure him any further than he he already was.

Error404 lowered his head, closed his sockets and went to sleep, waiting for the healing to begin its work.

The End
