He lay awake looking at the night sky through the open window. A thousand stars were shining. As time went by the world got brighter and the stars became irrelevant.
It was time for Tommy to get ready for school. When he stood in front of the mirror on his 18th birthday, he realized that he had completely disappeared. Instead of his reflection he saw the dusty old curtains and a vase full of plastic flowers which was placed behind him. He was invisible.
This came as no surprise as he was losing parts of himself from a very young age, but still, he looked for his sleepy eyes, his rough curly hair and his skinny arms but could see nothing.
“I don’t need to comb my hair any more. One less thing to worry about.” He said with a sigh.
