Hello! Long time no see! I'll just drop some quick notes here~
The important one is this story deals with grief, has indirect expression of violence, off-screen deaths, and is set in a dystopian world. Though nothing is graphic, please keep it in mind before reading.
This story was written initially for LOVECOMP2022 Short Story Writing Competition hosted by the English Society of the University of Lampung with the theme 'Reaching Reality through Fantasy' and one of the genres required to be used is dystopia.
Unfortunately, I didn't get to the finals, but! I still want people to read this story because I'm quite proud!
The pacing is quite fast for me and the world-building might not be as complete as I wanted it to be, but well, the maximum word count is 5k and I'm already skirting it so I don't have extra words to work with...
For this version, I edited some parts, tense, and add things that I think might make the story flow a little better, but I don't change everything fully so I hope my adjustment only does good things to the story haha ;;
That's all! Please do tell me if you have any critiques, suggestions, or any favorite parts of the story! I particularly enjoy writing the characters and their dynamics, so any comments related to them I appreciate very much!
Have a nice day <3
