LVI: Blake and Liam
Blake
Blake blinked as Liam rounded a bookcase and plopped down in the chair next to her. They were in the library, but in one of the more secluded spots. Not enough to do anything fun, but that wasn't why they were here, right now. They had a final to study for.
And Liam...does not look up to that.
He gave her a tired smile, then pulled her to him and kissed her cheek. Despite her skepticism, that made Blake feel all warm.
Still...
"Okay, why do you smell like chips and vodka and look like you just woke up from a nap?"
Liam frowned, then took a deep breath and shook himself. He scrubbed a hand over his face, then smiled at Blake, "Any better?"
She raised an eyebrow, "Not really."
He sighed, "Fuck."
Blake frowned, taking his arm, "You alright?"
Liam blinked, then smiled, "I'm fine. I just...might be a little buzzed."
"I could tell. Why, though? You don't usually drink, much less day-drink."
Liam sighed, but started getting out his laptop and books. He also pulled out two large bottles of water that Blake guessed he'd bought from the student center.
"I made the mistake of mentioning you to Tasha and Kiki, who are apparently friends, now."
Blake cocked her head, a bit of worry making her tense, "Really? Why was that a mistake."
Liam scrubbed a hand through his hair, then opened one of the waters and chugged a third of it before responding.
Blake couldn't help but grin at that. She didn't think Liam was completely toasted, but she realized she'd never seen him buzzed, and found it a little adorable. Then she frowned, jealous that he'd been buzzed without her.
"Because Tasha and Kiki saw that as an excuse to drag me over to Tasha's room, bring Sara along, take some shots, and then talk about me and you."
His face went red, and Blake narrowed her gaze, "What about us?"
"They wanted to make sure that I'm...treating you right..." he said, "In bed."
Blake's eyes went wide, then she barked a laugh, and had to clap a hand over her mouth as she started giggling.
Liam frowned at her, "You're evil."
Blake somehow got her giggling under control and smirked at him, "Okay, I don't know how Kiki fits into that—"
"She knows embarrassing high school things."
"l—but based on what Tasha was like when we hung out with her, if her roommate is anything like her, I think I feel sorry for you. How did you survive?"
"I almost didn't. I'm lucking I was buzzed, otherwise my boner would have been even more awkward."
Blake's eyes widened, cheeks going hot. She felt a little twinge of jealousy at that, "So they saw—"
"They asked how I don't kill you with it since you're so tiny."
Blake couldn't help but laugh at that. Her jealousy evaporated, a weird sense of pride replacing it. She leaned over and kissed Liam, slow, but hungry.
Liam responded immediately with a fervor that surprised Blake, making her a little wet between her legs. When she pulled back, Liam blinked a few times, then looked down and sighed, "Ugh, you did that on purpose."
