LXIV: Liam
Liam
Liam hesitated at the door to Tasha's room, hand poised to knock. For a moment, he reconsidered, glancing two doors down the hall toward Matt's room. Matt would probably be the less confusing option, but Liam knew Matt would be just as lost as he was about this whole situation.
Tasha, however, and maybe her roommates, might actually be able to clue him into what the fuck had happened with Blake.
Taking a deep breath, Liam knocked, "Tasha?"
"Just a second!"
A weird mix of nerves and relief swirling around in his stomach, Liam waited as Tasha came to the door. When she opened it, poking her head out from behind the door, Tasha's face lit up upon seeing him. Her bright shining eyes stunned Liam long enough for Tasha to pull him into a tight hug and drag him into the room before he realized what had happened.
Or what she was wearing.
Liam cleared his throat, looking away, face on fire.
"Please tell me you're wearing clothes underneath that and you heard me and thought this might be a fun way of fucking with me?"
Tasha cackled, flicking his forehead as she pulled back.
"Get over yourself. I wouldn't put that much effort into fucking with you."
Liam raised an eyebrow as he rubbed his forehead, trying to keep his eyes on Tasha's face, instead of the rest of her, which appeared to be covered only by a single purple, fluffy towel. Thankfully, her eyes helped with that.
"Okay fine," she admitted, "I would."
Liam snorted, then realized that Tasha hadn't stopped smiling since she'd opened the door. He cocked his head.
"Tash? You day-drinking? Or just really happy to see me?"
Tasha rolled her eyes, but her cheeks lit up as she bit her lip, "Sorry. I'm just really excited. I'm getting ready for my date later."
Liam frowned, then his eyes widened, "Oh, right! I take it last weekend went well, then?"
Tasha grinned, nodding, "Really well."
She gazed at him for a moment, wiggling her hips, then leapt at him, pulling him into another tight hug. Liam relaxed into it this time, glad he was taller than her so she couldn't stuff his face into her chest like last time. Though that had felt nice.
He squeezed her, then stroked her still damp hair a few times before pulling back, "I'm glad things went well, Tash. You seem really happy."
Tasha beamed up at him, "I am."
Then she frowned, looking him up and down, "You're not, though, what's up?"
Liam hesitated, then shook his head, "I don't want to bum you out. And you're getting ready for your date, I don't want to slow you down or--"
Tasha put a hand on his chest, stopping him, "You're not going to bum me out. And as long as you're fine with me getting ready while we talk, you won't make me late, either."
Liam thought about it for a moment, then nodded, "Okay. Thanks."
Tasha smiled, "Of course."
Then she stepped back and walked over to her dresser. Tasha grabbed the corner of her towel, and Liam realized what she was doing just in time to turn away. Then he had to turn away again, because unlike his, Tasha's room had a big mirror on one wall.
