"I'm fine, all I have to do is rest really. You're not the cause of it Elijah, don't worry. It was really nice of you guys to let me visit once again, I'm sure sooner or later Rebekah will be able to see I'm not as bad as she thinks. Hopefully," I say to them as I stand from the couch.

I need to get home and contact that witch once more if I want to be safe.

"Do you mind if I accompany you home? Just to make sure you're safe," Elijah says.

"That's fine, honestly, I will be fine, I just want to get home and rest, hopefully, get to eat something."

"I'll walk you out"

"Elijah, she wants to be alone. Let her go home, she's hungry, and I'm beginning to get hungry too," Kol said.

Elijah's eyes widen and he's ushering me out the home saying I should rest. That's why Kol can often be useful too, sometimes.

I drive myself home and try to avoid my biggest headaches by stopping the car when I feel a small tingle. I have to call her soon, I can't be living this way, and these aches are terrible, more painful than anything I've experienced. If I wasn't able to leave, I'd be dead, literally. Rebekah would rip my head off, she wouldn't even try to be subtle she hates my guts and everything else. I can't disagree with her, I'd probably hate me too.

I get home and try to call the witch with no avail. She must not want to answer her phone for me, she did say she didn't like me, but I could care less. Well, I am actually going to get worried. She did say my pains would go away if I fed, so I guess it's time to feed the tiger. But I can't kill anyone, this town is tight knit and if someone goes missing, then they all start to suspect on the new girl.

I smell Kol before I hear him, and I'm answering my door in seconds. He holds a guy up on his two feet.

"I've brought dinner."

I smirk at his words and drag them both inside.

"Well, hopefully, I can taste both meals, no?"

"Maybe," Kol says as he drops the body and brings me to him by the waist.

"I like to live dangerously with a little sexy on the side, I'm sure you wouldn't mind, Mr. Mikaelson," I reply dragging my finger down his chest.

Kol growls. "Of course not."

His movements are quick, and I find myself on my bed. Now this is the Mikaelson that knows how to live and please his women.

"Well then."

"Thanks for bringing dinner, I needed to relax, but two different things took the pain away," I told him winking. "Maybe we should go take a walk through town, really show off that I've been hanging around the hottest guy in town, of course."

"You really think we should hang out together?" Kol asked.

He seemed a little frightened by the fact we would be seen together. I laughed.

"The big bad Mikaelson afraid? Unbelievable! What happened to my strong and careless Kol?" I asked.

"I'm still here. Maybe we should go out and create chaos, like we always do, or maybe we should go and visit Damon Salvatore," Kol suggested.

"Better."

Kol drives us to Damon and Stefan's home and I am instantly filled with greed envy when I notice Elena's truck outside the home. But then I was filled with human scent surrounding me, a very familiar human scent.

"Kol..." I said trailing off.

"I know," he answered.

I got off the truck and instantly raced to the door, I knocked as Kol came up beside me. For once he seemed interested in what was happening behind this door, and seemingly once, so did I. I heard whispering and a 'come in'. As soon as I stepped in, I saw Nik and standing with a serious look on his face. Behind him was Elena, hugging a frightened guy.

Jeremy.

"Crystal? What are you doing here?" Stefan asked coming up from behind Nik.

"Uh, I wanted to visit...is he okay?" I asked pointing at Jeremy.

He stared at me and seemed more frightened.

"Yeah, um, that's Jeremy, Elena's brother."

"I-I'm sorry, I was told he had passed..."

Now this time it was Nik who spoke. "You see Crystal, in the paranormal world it is possible for there to be many things. Witches, werewolves, ghosts, wizards...vampires. He was brought back from death."

"Are you crazy? Why would you tell her!" Damon exclaimed to Nik.

"She's already been told," Kol told him with a smirk.

Well I am one of those supernatural beings, but of course they wouldn't know I am, except for a few exceptions.

"Who told her?" Elena asked finally speaking up.

Nik looks at me and turns to her. "I did. Rebekah believed it was Gemma and tried to kill her. She was fed vervain by my brother here, and we had to tell her what we were. Elijah explained it to her in the easiest way possible. She won't get her memory erased, so don't try to do so, she is well trusted by us Mikaelson's."

"Well then we'll make sure to gain her trust and in reverse, in the meantime we have to get Jeremy to safety. It is unknown is Gemma will return," Stefan explained to us.

"Maybe I can keep him at my home? I know vampires can't go into where they aren't welcomed, so maybe it'll work?" I asked them.

Nobody said a thing. Nik gave me a knowing look and so did Kol, but preferred to keep quiet. This is why I loved the Mikaelson family, they just know when to not speak. For the exception of Elijah whom, a long time ago, told them about my problem.

"She's right," Elena said gaining everyone's attention. "Jeremy will be safe there, now all we have to do is make sure we visit them at least once a day. Who stays with you?"

"Well I live alone"

"Who have you invited in?" Kol said tempting me.

Now, if I said Kol, they'd never let me have Jeremy to myself.

"No one, I just moved here and my neighbors aren't exactly the friendliest. So no one."

"Well then, seems like you've got your brother a new home, hopefully the adoption goes smoothly. I've got to leave, don't bother me if you need me. Let's go brother."

Nik leaves with Kol and Kol sends a wink my way. He does that almost every day now and I'm getting really used to it by now. I turn to them and smile at Jeremy. I walk to him and kneel at hi level.

"Hi Jeremy. I'm Crystal Johnson, and...well...you'll be fine with me, don't worry. My father gave me butt kicking skills," I said being tender.

He only looks at me and stares strangely.

"I'm sorry this happened to you and from what I've been told, Gemma seemed like a caring sister until, well, those events happened. I don't know the pain you're going through, but it seems terrifying," I then said.

"I'm glad you're helping us Crystal," Damon said.

I smiled and turned my back to them all. I gave a knowing smile and said, "me too."
