It was pitch black outside and there were still a few hours until the sun would rise again. Stefan had been seated in the study, reading a book, and awaiting the return of his brother. Damon had been disposing of the body and with all that had happened, he wanted to talk to him before Damon did anything else. He also wanted to properly thank him for assisting them. Despite the rules that Grayson had laid down, Amy had asked to stay the night at Stefan's. Which he was hesitant to agree to but Amy was insistent. She had been taken upstairs into his room where he talked to her for a while and held her until she fell asleep. After a couple of hours, he returned downstairs and nodded off while reading one of his favorite novels. When the book slipped from his hand, it awoke him. The noise caused him to sit up as he picked up the book, retrieved it, and placed it on the end table next to the chair he had been resting in. Standing, he stretched slightly as a noise sounded behind him. Slowly, he turned his head and looked over his shoulder. The sound made him curious if Damon had finally returned. As he looked around, another noise sounded. This time, his eyes went directly to the windows where the curtain blew from the breeze outside. Approaching it, he pulled it closed and glanced around curiously. Noises continued to happen and he started to grow concerned. Stepping out into the hall area he looked around. "Damon?" He asked curiously as a wisp flew around him multiple times and a shadow crossed the balcony above. In an instant, a blonde tackled him to the ground. Her fangs extended as her eyes veined out. Staring at her, he realizes who it is. "Lexi?" Sitting up, her face reverts to normal, and she smiles perkily.

"Hi." She offers as she gets off him and stands up, offering a hand.

"What are you doing here?" Stefan asked as he stood and the two embraced one another.

"How could you even ask that?" He stared at her curiously.

"I missed you." She smirked.

"Happy birthday." He smiled at her and then glanced toward the stairs. The next couple hours passed and the two caught up in the living room of the Boarding house. Lexi's mouth fell open. "You have a girl up there? Stefan!" He rolled his eyes.

"It was a rough night." Lexi raised her eyebrows.

"I bet, I thought I smelled teenage pheromones." Stefan shook his head.

"We haven't–" Lexi threw her hand up.

"Wait, you haven't–" Stefan shook his head. The morning had finally come around and Stefan stood up.

"I'm going to check on her." Lexi nodded as he disappeared but the moment he was gone she went up after him to eavesdrop. Stefan entered his bedroom and closed the door behind him as he approached the bed. Amy was snuggled up underneath the covers, a smile spread across his lips. Seating himself on the bed, she subconsciously squirmed her way toward him as he held her against his lap.

"Good morning." He ran his finger across the side of her cheek as she fluttered her eyes open.

"It's morning already?" She sighed and nuzzled against his leg.

"Yes, and I have a surprise guest." Amy started to raise and look at him.

"Surprise? I hate surprises." He laughed lightly to himself.

"It's fine, it's just my best friend." Amy's mouth fell open.

"Your best friend? Wait, who is your best friend?" Without being able to contain herself any longer, Lexi shoved the door open.

"Me!" She exclaimed loudly as Stefan turned to stare at her. Lexi put her hands on her hips and smirked. "What?" Amy looked at the blonde and then at Stefan.

"Well, I'm going to change..." Lexi stared at her. "So, can you guys?" Stefan stood up and nodded.

"Yeah, we'll, uh, be downstairs." Stepping out of the room, Lexi followed behind Stefan as they closed the door and returned to the living room.
