Chapter 26. The Challenge

Hex was stunned by Cecil's insults. "You dare challenge me?" He asked. "It may appear so." Said Cecil. "Unless you don't want to move from your precious throne. I don't think I recall you moving from that spot." Hex becomes angry. "How dare you insult your master!" He yelled. "Look whose talking." Said Cecil. "You're not MY master anymore. Remember?." Isaac makes it to the throne and begins to climb it from behind. Meanwhile, Hex was about to lose his temper. "I will tear you apart limb by limb!" He yelled. Suddenly, he calms down and begins to laugh. "Oh Cecil." He continued. "There's one thing I forgot." He looks towards Havana. "You know this girl. Don't you?" "Of course I do." Said Cecil. "She's the Princess of Cove Castle. Everyone knows her." "Then explain why this Princess knows your name." Said Hex. Cecil becomes concerned. Hex gives him an awful smile. "You know her personality." He said. "Am I correct?" Cecil lowers his head. "Yes." He said softly. Hex leans back into his throne. "Well I'll be." He said. "You two are friends. You are not here to take back your home, your here to take back the Princess." As Isaac gets to the top of the throne, Hex takes down the cage before Isaac had a chance to get Havana out. Hex places the cage directly in front of Cecil. "Go on Princess." Said Hex. "Take a good look. Do you know this Dragon?" She looks at him into his eyes. "Please help me!" She whimpered. Hex takes away the cage. "A ha!" He said. "You do know each other." Isaac begins to climb back down the throne so that the dragons don't see him. Hex holds the cage straight out in front of him. "Well Cecil." He said. "Let's see how you would react when I crush her with my bare hands." Havana becomes afraid for her life. "No!" She begged. "Please!" Suddenly, Cecil becomes furious. "Leave her alone!" He yelled. Hex begins to crush the cage in on Havana and Cecil couldn't take it anymore. "Let her go!" He yelled again. Suddenly, he spreads out his wings and flies directly towards Hex's face. He begins to breathe fire into his eyes, blinding him. He screams out in pain and drops the cage from high above. The impact knocks Havana unconscious. The minions couldn't believe what Cecil had done. No dragon has ever dared to go against the Emperor. After wiping the burning pain from his eyes, Hex furiously stairs back at Cecil who was now back on the ground. "How dare you challenge me!" He yelled. "What makes you think you can stop me!" "Why don't you get up from that throne and find out!" Said Cecil. Hex stands up off of his throne. "Challenge accepted!" He said with anger in his eyes.
