We quickly get back to Levi's apartment, soaking in mud. He ties Espresso up outside while we got changed, him in his bathroom and me at the bottom of the stairs (he did not want ANY mud in the apartment).
"Okay, all clear." I said as I put my muddy clothes in a pile by the door. Levi comes down, holing a basket.
"Here, you need a coat." He said and grabbed his leather jacket from hanging on his wall.
"Oh, no I can't wear that, it looks expensive-"
"And?" He said, forcing the jacket into my arms. I sighed and slowly put it on, feeling the warmth immediately hug me tightly. I sighed again, this time in comfort. I looked up at Levi, who was blushing hard and staring at me.
"W- what? Does it look bad?" I asked, folding my arms around me.
He shook his head, and we heard a bark from outside. "Oh, yea my dog. Lets hurry outside." He said, pushing me out the door.
We dropped a very muddy Espresso off at the pet groomers (who looked like they seen a ghost when we brought her in), and then we were on our way to the dry cleaners with our mud soaked clothes.
I shivered on the way there, the cold air whipping at my skin.
"I'm sorry, we should've taken my car." Levi said, looking at me sympathetically
"And get it dirty? Please, this is fine. I'd rather be a little cold than get a billion dollar car dirty." I pulled my shirt up over my nose, trying to warm it up.
"Well, this just means that we need to have hot cocoa after this." Levi said and smiled. I returned the smile and we made it into the dry cleaners.
Levi was very strict with the worker, who he knew by name already, and told him to not be late this time. The kid at the counter shivered and nodded, getting straight to work. We walked out the door and I saw a car driving towards us on the road. I started to walk on the side walk when Levi grabbed me and pulled me to him.
"What-" I said when I heard a big SPLASH! Levi grabbed me just in time so that I wouldn't be completely soaked in mud all over again.
"Tch, clumsy brat." He said, looking up at me while I was in his arms. He felt warm compared to the cold outdoors, and I so desperately wanted to bury my face in his shoulder, him keeping me warm.
To my displeasure, he let go of me, but had me hold his arm as we walked back to get Espresso.
After we brought Espresso home, we went into the cafe and Levi made us hot cocoa. I sipped mine slowly, humming as I did. I was still wearing Levi's jacket, and I felt so cozy. I melted into the chair. This is elite comfort levels.
My eyes were closed, me taking in all the comfy-ness when I felt a hand brush on my face. I opened my eyes to see Hange, their face inches away from mine.
"Ayo, what the fuck?" I shouted, almost spilling my hot cocoa.
"Oh, sorry, I just noticed you look a bit sunburned." They said as Levi came storming up to us.
"What do you think you're doing?" Levi said, his eyes choking Hange.
They seemed unfazed. "They're face is all read like they got a sunburn or wind burn or something. I was just seeing if they were okay-"
"I can do this, back to work." Levi said and sat down next to me. I looked up at Hange, who looked as confused as I was, then their eyes slowly widened while a smirk grew on their face. They mouthed the word "ohhhh," and slowly walked away, looking back at us and wiggling their eyebrows at me.
I chuckled and shook my head. "What's wrong?" Levi asked.
"O- oh, nothing." I said. He got up close to my face and looked at me. I sat there, feeling myself blush.
"You know, I can't really tell if you're burnt or not when you keep blushing." Levi joked, making me blush even harder. He smiled, and touched my face. "Does it hurt?"
"A little," I said, looking away from him. "It feels like a wind burn."
"Damn it, we should've taken my car." He said, putting his palm to his forehead.
"But your care would've gotten dirty-"
"I'd rather have my car dirty than you hurt."
"It's not that big of a deal." I nervously chuckled. Why is he getting so serious about this?
He sighed, and looked up at me. He slowly put his hand on my face again, this time rubbing his thumb on my cheek. "I'll bring you a wet washcloth you can put on your face to cool it off." He said and walked away.
Once Levi was in the back, Hange sprinted towards me, taking Levi's spot.
"Tea. Now." They said, smacking their hand on the table.
"What do you mean?" I said, acting dumb.
"You know what I mean. What the hell is going on between you two?" Hange said.
I paused. "I honestly have no idea."
Hange sighed. "He's doing it again isn't he?"
"Doing what?"
"He's so bad at relationships and feelings," Hange fidgeted with their hair, "he probably hasn't said anything to you about it, has he?"
"I mean, we agreed to be friends if that's what you mean." I said, taking a sip from my hot cocoa, confused.
"Y/N, you cannot tell me that you do not know this man is so into you." They said.
"Dude, the guys like a damn wall. He shows zero emotion. I still think he hates me sometimes!" I said.
"I'm not gonna let him do this forever," Hange braided their hair, brainstorming. "What if- what if we make him jealous?"
"What?" I asked.
"Lets pretend flirt, you and me. We can act like were flirting in front of Levi, and then maybe he will finally accept his feelings for you."
"That's so not gonna work, I leaned back in my chair, "the dude is not into me like that."
"Oh, Y/N, you have no idea." Hange looked over to the counter and saw Levi coming out of the back. "Let's just try it and see. Can we please?"
"Ugh, I- Okay maybe." I said as Hange ran away. Levi shot lasers at them, and then sat down next to me again, washcloth in hand.
"Is Hange messing with you? We can go upstairs if you want." Levi handed me the washcloth. It was very cold, but it felt nice against my face.
"Oh, no don't worry about it." I said and looked behind him. Hange was looking at us, and once they saw I was looking at them they gave me a thumbs up. What am I getting myself into?
The dry cleaning guy brought us our clothes not even an hour later, him quickly handing it to me and dashing out the door. After that, I decided I should go home and Levi demanded he drove me. We said our goodbyes and I walked into my dorm.
I got into my room when my phone dinged. It was a text message from Hange.
Hange: come to the cafe tmrw plzplzplz
Me: ugh but being in public sucks
Hange: cmon we have to do our plan
Me: no way u were serious abt tht
Hange: hell yea I was
I shut off my phone. It wouldn't hurt to go grab something to drink and work on my game. I sat down in bed, intending on playing on my phone until Armin got home, but the second my head hit the pillow I was out.
Sorry for the short chapter, but man yall aint ready for the rollercoaster were gonna take. were in this together dw ;) love yall
