Rose's backstory

Rose was born to Esmeralda an emerald dragon and Jarlaxle a drow male, growing up Rose's mum was always disappointed in her and made it known to all around her, especially to Rose. This led to Rose training herself in the art of magic from a young age where
she learned she had a talent in psionic magic however her mother and aunt Vendes felt that since she was a noble drow female that her place was to be
high priestess of Lolth and pushed her into training for it by the age of 5 when rose was just discovering her other talents, Rose didn't want to be a high priestess and had no desire to serve Lolth but since she thought that it would make her mother proud of her Rose threw herself into her training to the point of exhaustion and passing out at least once a week.

Throughout all the training Esmeralda kept pushing her more while continuing to tell Rose that she thought Rose was a disappointment to the family. Meanwhile her father tried to fight for Rose and let her know that he loved
her and thought the world of her, but Esmeralda always won out in Rose's mind which crushed him.

This vicious cycle continued until Rose was 13 when she was lured into her family chapel by her mother and aunt Vendes, once there she was brought to the alter and was held down by her mother as her aunt got ready to sacrifice her to lady Lolth to punish her father. The sacrifice attempt was stopped by Jarlaxle who ran to his daughter's aid upon hearing what was happening accompanied by her grandmother, the matron mother of house Baenre. As punishment for the attempted sacrifice of Rose the matron mother ordered Esmeralda to be tortured in the dungeon of the house and then publicly executed, Vendes was placed on guard duty and demoted to the status of priestess for a year.

Over the next two years Rose started to be treated with
respect as her talent for magic and sword play became apparent during her high priestess training.

When Rose was 15, the matron mother of a rival house tried to set up an arranged marriage with her eldest son but was quickly shot down by Jarlaxle who believed that her spoiled, talentless son was not good enough for
his daughter which led to a mini war between house Baenre and house Melarn which lasted about a year before house Baenre won out.

Rose continued to work on her talents the best she could
before she was sent to the academy at the age of 18 where she was pushed to her limits every day, as time went on Rose continued to grow stronger and was sent
out as part of a patrol group which she became the leader of at 19.

Three months after her promotion to patrol leader, her patrol group and 4 other groups were sent to fight in a mini war with chad nasad, a nearby rival drow city. Rose's group fought daily for 2 months once they
arrived at the battleground. A week after the two-month mark Rose's group were sent back home to recover when they walked into an ambush which knocked Rose
the floor when it was sprung and left her trapped under a rock, from her trapped position Rose watched as her entire group was cut down and mercilessly
killed. Rose lay very still during the massacre as to not attract attention but caught a rouge sword swing which left her shoulder badly injured along with a
bad neck injury.

Rose lay trapped under the rock for about 3 hours before
another patrol group made up of her family's soldiers found her and rescued her before providing aid and teleported her back to the family home for magical
healing.

The war ended a month later while Rose was still recovering from her wounds and the deaths of her friends, to take her mind off her situation and past events Rose threw herself into her training even harder as it helped her forget what had happened for a short time.

Rose continued putting all her effort into her intense
training under the guidance of her aunt Triel, eventually becoming a high priestess in ten years which set a new time record at the age of 29. After Rose was named a high priestess by the academy teachers, she was summoned to her family home for a secret ceremony. When Rose arrived, she found that the ceremony
was for her to receive her snake whip, the true mark of a high priestess.
