Vitos POV

"I'm glad she's back," I rolled my shoulders.

"I can tell," Leonardo Sozanni; my friend, hung his boxing gloves up. "Your fan-boying over her."

I chuckled. "You wouldn't understand Leo," I ran my fingers through my sweat drenched curls.

His dark green eyes pierced mine. "Oh I understand, a little too well if I'm being honest," he muttered.

"Ah," I grinned at his flushed face.

His wife Geneva had did something similar to Vel but a lot more dramatic.

Another story for another time...

"Its nearly dinner time, let's get cleaned up," I nudged his shoulder.

••••

After my shower I sat in my office sorting papers and paying bills.

"Vito," I heard a small voice.

I looked up to see Bruno peeking around my door.

"You don't have to call me that," I smiled at my son. My complete replica.

He pushed his way in. "Màmà told me you have to earn that title," he scratched his head.

"Is that so," I stood and came from around my desk.

He nodded.

He was absolutely adorable. When Vels mother told me I had a son I wasn't overjoyed, I was angry ass hell.

Vel had took 5 years of my father hood away from me. Only when I saw him on that patio had everything changed.

His curls were a complete replica of mine, his large brown eyes that I knew would get lazier like mine as he grew older.

He was smart as hell too.

When Vel had run away the first thought was that there was another man, but soon I found out I was wrong.

I held the door open for Bruno as we walked out. Once we were out we headed down the stairs.

I glanced at Bruno who moved rather carefully than most children. I frowned at that.

"Bruno, do you like fighting," I asked him.

His face lit up.

"Yes!" He shouted excitedly and suddenly started punching ar my leg.

I chuckled and slightly blocked the hits.

"What about it do you like," I questioned when we hit the bottom step.

He glanced away as if guilty if something.

"Well...i like when my opponent is hurt, but Màmà said that i shouldn't think that way, so I try not to want to fight," he folded his arms obviously dissatisfied with that.

I chuckled. His looks wasn't the only thing we held similar.

We both liked violence and with Velvets soft heart she'd keep us out of trouble.

We made our way to the kitchen and sat at the table.

Velvet came in looking sexy as ever.

The cloth she worn while she ran away we're much too casual for my life style but if it made her happier then so be it.

She wore loose black shorts and a white tank top.

I couldn't take me eyes from her. I was completely mesmerized by her beauty.

"What's for dinner," Vel asked as she leaned down kiss Brunos head then take her seat.

"Steak and Spaghetti," I replied as the cooks opened the doors to bring the food.

A harsh whisper came from the other room.

I quirked a brown when I saw a flushed couple enter the dining room.

Leo smiled at me then Vel.

His wife cheeks were rosey as she combed her fingers through her hair.

It seemed as if they were getting frisky before dinner but I only smiled back and welcomed them.

Velvet glanced at the woman warily.

I squinted at that. Did she know Geneva?

Once all the food and drinks were out I introduced both women.

Vel already knew Leo.

"Vel, this is Geneva; Leos wife, Geneva this is Velvet, my wife," I smiled hoping both women would start chatting but Vel only smiled briefly before turning her attention to Bruno.

Geneva blinked in surprise. I smiled apologetically.

"Vel, bèbè," I said softly.

She looked back to me with an attitude.

I was confused as of why. We had company, she knew the rules.

"I heard you Vito, but Bruno needs something other then steak," she pointed out.

I looked at his steak but he'd moved it onto his napkin.

"It's a small piece, he should be alright," I shrugged.

Her full lips turned into a frown.

"I know what my child eats," she snapped.

Heat began to simmer up as I watched her turn into a mama bear protecting her cub.

It was sexy as hell in my opinion.

"Well what would you have made for him," I asked trying to keep my voice from getting husky.

"Chicken, air-fried ," she said.

I looked to the cook standing by the kitchen door.

She nodded before heading back into the kitchen.

A gentle smile softened Vels fave when she turned to Geneva.

"Nice to meet you Geneva," she said politely as if she didn't ignore the woman's a minute ago.

Geneva smiled back,"Likewise Velvet."

The rest of the dinner Velvet stayed quiet as she helped Bruno with his food.
