Tommy spent the rest of his small break in the demon kingdom talking with Ranboo and Niki while also learning demon culture from Bad. He didn't really see Skeppy around much, Bad told Tommy that Skeppy was just experiencing a bad fever but Tommy didn't believe that. After all Skeppy himself told the blonde about being cursed, and Tommy knows quite well that curses have terrible affects on a person, it is a curse after all.
Though Tommy did get to see Skeppy on the last day. He seemed tired, lifeless... Just like Tommy. The diamond on his skin seemed to spread more and his eyes seemed more crystal like.
"Are.. Are you okay?" Tommy asked, worried for the other. Skeppy glanced over to Tommy almost in an inhumane way and smiled. "Yeah. I am fine." He said, his voice lacking any humanity. Tommy stared at the other in fear. Was it one that slowly turned you into stone, or well in this case, into diamond? The thought of it made Tommy's heart hurt. Skeppy had always given him the cold shoulder but Tommy still cared for him. He was a cool type of person in Tommy's oppinion. And now any personality the male had was gone, leaving him as an empty shell.
Skeppy walked away shortly after answering, leaving Tommy alone. "I wish I knew a cure for that..." Tommy said to himself as he thought back to the books. "A diamond statue?" he mumbled as the description popped up in his head. "After defeating the grieving demon lord, Tubbo, Techno, Wilbur, Philza, and Ranboo headed into the treasury where they saw a diamond statue of a person." Tommy recounted as he looked out the window. "They didn't know who the statue was of, but they knew that they must of been precious enough for the demon lord to keep a statue of." Tommy continued as he sat onto the windowsill.
"Later on in the story they ended up figuring out the name of the person depicted in the statue. Zak Diamas. Bastard child of count Diamas." Tommy muttered as he looked at the sunrise. "One day Zak disappeared and was assumed dead. The truth is that he was cursed by his father and sent to the demon kingdom to be sold on the black market." Tommy wasn't sure why he could remember this part of the story so well now even though he didn't have any clue who Skeppy was when he first met him.
"I'm guessing Bad eventually found him while shutting down the black markets plaguing the kingdom." Tommy said as he he spotted Bad in the garden tending to the flowers. Tommy headed there and managed to scare the poor guy half to death when he asked what he was up to. "Ahh! Tommy you scared me!" Bad exclaimed as he turned around to look at the younger. "Sorry sorry. Is uh... Is Skeppy okay?" Tommy asked which made Bad drop the watering can.
"Ha- haha.... Yeah yeah.. He's.... He's okay!" Bad replied, his voice shaky and clearly restraining his tears from forming. Tommy just stared at him with a grim expression. "Is... Is he dying?" Tommy finally asked in a hushed voice.
The words made Bad finally start crying although very quietly. "..... That stupid curse.... It's slowly turning him into diamond.... I was told that in a few months time he'd completely turn into diamond...." Bad quietly replied. "Is there any way to stop it?" the blonde asked in a hopeful tone. "Not one that I wouldn't of tried already.... At least to my knowledge..." Bad said. He was desperate to save Skeppy but knew he couldn't, and that idea hurt too much for him to think of. "... What if I said that I might know a cure..." Tommy quietly said making Bad's eyes widen.
"What?" he asked clearly with confusion. "On the night of a full moon in the winter, there is a possibility to meet with XD, the wish giver some say. You can wish for practically anything, the price is that the thing dearest to you will be taken away...." Tommy answered as he stared the older in his eyes.
"Wait- but then Skeppy would be-" "I didn't finish. You can also haggle. Give your life instead, give someone else's life or you could always sacrifice a childs soul." Tommy cut Bad off. "What?... I... I could never sacrifice anyone else and.. Skeppy would be mad and too sad if I left... I can't do it." Bad replied with a sad expression. Tommy smiled. "Maybe there's another way." Tommy said quietly and left.
