the normal life of a high school-er turns royal

prologue

Sarah woke up to the sound of her alarm in the early morning, she pressed the snooze button to turn the alarm off before getting up out of her bed. She walked slowly over to her closet rubbing her eyes a bit, trying to wake herself up. Giving a small stretch and yawn Sarah opened up her closet to pick out the outfit she will be wearing for today. Scanning the closet with her dark leaf green eyes, she spotted a new dress hooked nicely on a hanger and with a small tilt of her head she took the dress out of the closet. She laid it softly on her bed and gave a small smile. The dress was a pretty bright yellow with small white flower patterns sowed into it. Mom must of bought it for me just today. She thought to herself while she put on the dress, she walked over to her mirror to see how she looked in the dress and giving a small happy smile, Sarah walked over to her desk to pick up her hair brush. She quickly brushed her long wavy brown hair before leaving her room and down stairs to the kitchen where her mom was getting breakfast together.

"Hi mom." Said Sarah sweetly, while she sat down at the table. She scanned the kitchen for a bit before looking out the window, she started to daydream as she watched the birds fly by and the squirrels climb carefully up the tree next to her house.

Her mom looked over her shoulder and smiled at Sarah, her bright sea green eyes shimmering softly. "Good Morning honey, sleep well?" Asked her mother, as she looked back at the stove to finish making breakfast, her long brown hair was tied up into bun, just keep her hair from blocking her view while she cooked.

"Yup! Oh mom thanks for the dress, I really love it." Replied Sarah looking back over to her moms gaze with happy tone in her voice, she looked from her mother to the front door. "So did we get the mail yet?"

"Nope not yet." Her mother turned off the stove and place the scrambled eggs she made onto a two plates with some bacon them. She then walked over to the small table and sat down next to Sarah, placing both the plate in front of them. "I'm glad you like the dress sweety, so what do you plan to do today?"

Sarah grinned with excitement. "Me and my friends are going to throw a party, since its just a few days before school starts again." She took a couple hungry bites of her breakfast. I wonder how many people is going to be there? She questioned herself.

Her mom smiled softly. "That sounds like it'll be a ton of fun but please be careful okay Sarah, you never know what could happen if you're not careful." She gave Sarah a small pat on her head before taking a bite of her own breakfast.

Sarah nodded towards her mom before taking few more bites of her breakfast, she got up and walked over to the sink, placing her dishes in. "Well I'm off to go meet up with Alice and Katie, see you later mom!" With saying that Sarah left the house, to go hang out with her friends at the party.

The end of the summer party went great lots of Sarah classmates had come and well of course both her childhood friends were also there having a great time. They all played games, watch scary and funny moives, it was a great memory to hold close to. After a while the party start to slowly calm down as people had to leave and most had plans for the start of school. Sarah said her goodbyes to classmates and her two best friends when she left the party to head home. While the few days left of summer past by fast, Sarah got ready for school but she never thought that her life could change as well with it.
