Being a teen means a lot of things
People don't trust you
People think we don't care
We are pulled and pushed
Never given a moment to spare
School over here
College over there
Our whole life pushed into one square
Being a teen isn't always easy
People don't get you
People think we don't feel
We are forced to act alike
Made to act like we're not even real
They suppress us
But they won't control us
They try to make us kneel
But they will hear us roar
