"Look down, you can already see how the flora is changing." Doryarus said as we were flying above Reoryn Road.
"You said that the Golum forest is very dangerous, why don't we just fly above it?"
"Because it is very dangerous", he insisted "remember that everyone here knows how to fly."
I started to get a bit more scared everytime we got closer. After a few minutes, we arrived in front of the forest. We landed and I started to look around. Everything was very dark and dull. The forest was almost completely in the dark. Around us, trees in completely random shapes, some of them were even floating above the ground. Plants were growing everywhere and anywhere.
"How..."
"Here we are!" Doryarus exclaimed while looking at the forest, arms wide open.
"And now what are we supposed to do?" I asked very seriously.
"First we have to be careful."
The forest was very dense and gloomy. Enormous trees were surrounding us. When I say those trees were enormous, I literally mean it. The leaves that were falling down were as tall as my whole body, the grass was yellowish, the sky was empty. I looked at Doryarus with a confused face.
"Why is the atmosphere here so different from Qerian?"
"We're not in the same place so of course it's different."
"Yeah but... it's like we are on another planet. I feel weird."
"Don't worry it's an impression but nothing will happen to us if we stay safe."
"I don't know if I can trust you on this one."
Doryarus made the dinogrons disappear and we took our belongings, heading to Onolyra road. I feel like it is going to be something really exhausting, and I'm not saying physically, but mentally."Well now that I think of it, you've never told me what you are Doryarus." I said while walking close to him, avoiding all of the plants.
"What do you mean? I'm someone."
"No but I saw an ogre and you tell me that there's vampires, trolls and all sorts of other people but what are you exactly?"
"Oh this? Well you found me in Qerian so you could guess."
"So you're a high elf? That makes sense I've never really talked about your ears."
"As you should." He blankly said. I've never paid attention to Doryarus features. He looked pretty human to me the first time I saw him. But now I start to see how he actually is different from me and my kind, but in a very subtle way.
"Well so that means the Queen is a fairy? I would love to see the Queen, and also visit all the kingdom. It looks like so much fun to look around in here."
Doryarus gave me a sigh as a response. I didn't really understood at first, but thinking twice, it isn't that much fun for him to go through all of this. People in here seems to have a lot of problems between themselves so it might be difficult for him.
"Well maybe I say this because I'm human after all." Doryarus stopped walking as I affirmed this. I was ready to open my mouth again but he put a finger on my mouth and started writing on those communication books."I smell the presence of a dark elf... or more. I can't really tell where they are but we have to hide cause they might have smelled my presence too."
I nodded at Doryarus after I read it, and he took my hand as we got deeper in the forest.
We were now hiding behind one of those big trees. Doryarus kept looking around to see if he could actually see our enemies right now. But we had to be quick. And being here at night isn't the most reassuring thing at all. I took the time to concentrate on what was happening and how we got here. Doryarus was still holding my hand, so hard, causing it to become numb.
Everything was still dark, still silent, still empty... Until I started hearing some noises coming from somewhere. I looked at Doryarus to see if he also heard it, and I think he definitely heard it because his eyes were now wide open by the fear. I didn't even know what to be scared of, I just knew that I was supposed to be scared too. As soon as we heard a second noise, He pulled me and started to run. Reflexively I started running too. The noises behind us became very clear and louder than before. At this point we were just running to get out as fast as we can. I tried my best to avoid falling on the ground and I trust my adrenaline for that. The faster we got, the scariest it gets. Now Doryarus stopped, I look at him confused, than I look in front of us... oh no...
