Apologies for the long wait. I hoped to publish this sooner but I turned my focus to other stories.

I have made up my mind regarding the countries in this fic.

Atlas/Mantle: Japan

Vale: USA

Menagerie: USSR

Vacuo:. . . Africa or Asia. . . Yeah, definitely Africa. Wait, Australia fits them more, doesn't it? What do you think?

A bullet train was shown running by the Toto Press Head Office Building at night. Sounds of chatter is heard as Cyril was shown walking through the office past the workers and ignoring those that tried to greet and converse with him. He walks up his editor.

"Hey! Why'd you drop my story?" he demanded in a upset tone that his story about Jaune and the Yahata Maru wasn't made public. The editor Kitagawa glances up at him with a raised eyebrow. "What the Hell's going on here?"

Ozpin and his Inner Circle, as well as the members of Teams RWBY, JNPR, SSSN and Oscar with Ilia and Penny knew and understood why the story wasn't made public. Whitley and his mother opened their mouths to voice their curiosity of the matter but Winter raised her hand at them and mouthed, It'll be explained, I'm sure.

"Wasn't up to me," Kitagawa said simply. "Talk to Godo." He then stands up and leads Cyril over to Godo's office.

Godo is seated in his desk in front of the two men. "It's wrong, I know." he admitted. "But it's a national security matter. But with what the public knows is that the Okura, the crew and the Yahata Maru are officially unaccounted for."

"But it's news!" Cyril protested.

"Certainly Cyril," Godo concurred. "But there's nothing that can be done."

The reporter isn't convinced to let it drop. "What's the big secret?" he demands. There had better be a good reason why a story like this should be swept under the rug.

Most of the civilians in the room shared the same feeling as Cyril.

"The big secret," Godo replies slowly, lowering his voice a little. "Is Godzilla."

"Godzilla?" Cyril repeats in an amazed tone. 

Everyone, even Salem and Ozpin felt some chills upon hearing the name a second time.

"I don't believe it!" he exclaims.

"You better believe it." Godo said gruffly. "If we print your article, we'll plunge the whole Kingdom into panic and the disaster will be immediate. It's a matter of journalistic responsibility," he said sternly. "You know we can't print the story now. In the meantime, don't breathe a word about this, not to anyone."

Cyril understood this but was still bummed out. "It's not fair. It's a great scoop." he whined. "What am I supposed to do in the meantime?"

"Don't let it go," Kitagawa said as he walked out of the office. "Stay on top of it. See what sort of background you can turn up."

"There is a man you ought to call," Godo said thoughtfully. "A biophysicist by the name of Oobleck. I suggest you see him immediately."

"Oobleck," Cyril repeated to himself.
