Jake Oneshot - 2

*you plan a date to the fair that just came to town and you end up having the best night of your life and carrying more stuffed animals than you can handle*

You and Jake get to the fair, walking in hand in hand ready to start your date.

"What do you want to do first?" You ask excitedly, you had been dying to go to the fair since it came to town.
"How about games? Ring toss maybe?" He says and points to the closest ring toss game. "Okay, yeah! Let's do that one first!" You respond and run off into the direction of the game he pointed out.

As you get over there you turn around to wait for Jake to catch up. "Babe come on!!" You whine. "Alright, alright. I'm coming" he chuckles in response.

Jake pays the man at the stand and you point out a small stuffed frog you'd like as he grabs a few rings to start what will turn out to be a longer than predicted ring toss journey.

...

"This is rigged!" Jake curses loudly, making you shush him quickly while laughing softly at him. "This is the third time now and I've only gotten a few rings!".
"Love it's okay!" You laugh again, "let's just move on to the next game". "No! I'm getting you that frog!" He responds quickly before paying again and tossing another ring.

...

A few more more tries and lots of money later, you both finally walk away from the ring toss game, you holding the very stuffed frog you wanted so badly.
"Look how cute!!" You say as you force him to hold the small toy. "I'm glad you like it. I think you should pick out a name for the little guy" He says, watching your eyes light up as you think of a fitting name for the stuffed animal.

...

You go from game to game, Jake doing his absolute best to win you multiple stuffed animals throughout the night.

"Uhh, maybe we should stop with the games" you say, struggling to hold up the multiple stuffed animals he had won for you.
"Don't you think 5 is enough?" You laugh softly, "these two are pretty big anyways" you say as you gesture to the stuffed dragon and pig. "Okay sure, what about some cotton candy?" He responds.

...

A few minutes later you've managed to convince Jake to help you carry some of the stuffed animals, one under each of his arms and three bundled up in yours as you head over to get some cotton candy for the both of you.

"One please!" You say to the man, "large if you can".

He finishes making the cotton candy, handing it over to Jake. "Thank you!!" You both say at the same time, laughing softly looking at each other.

"I think the cotton candy was a great idea! It's so good!" You say as you grab another piece.

"Should we head to the Ferris wheel?" You ask him after sending him a grin. "Yeah! There isn't that long of a line, we should go now." He responds after looking over at it.

...

It's finally your turn to get on the Ferris wheel, you both manage to squeeze in with your stuffed animals and cotton candy, riding to the top.

You pull out your phone and snap a picture. You with a big cheesy grin on your face, him digging into more cotton candy. "Oh that's a keeper" you giggle at the photo, quickly making it your wallpaper.

When you finally get him away from the cotton candy, you lean over and kiss him softly before saying, "I love you. Thank you for taking me here."
"I love you, sweetheart. More than there are stars in the sky." He responds, kissing you again.

...

When you finally make it back to the ground you both struggle off of the ride holding all the toys and the now empty stick of cotton candy from Jake's nonstop snacking of it.

You giggle at him, taking his hand with your free one after throwing the stick away and pulling him towards the exit.

...

You listen to music on the way back to your apartment, holding hands and singing along to the songs.

This really had been the best night of your life.
