After a queer woman on the run, Jane Marshall, disappears in a blink of an eye, her once true love, Frenchmen, vows not to even falter until he can acquire her powers- ones that can give the ability of one to do virtually anything within his or her imagination.
Joshua Peddlestone- an average nerd who has the tendency to walk alone in the halls, textbooks either at his sides or up at his chest. However, keeping a watchful eye on them is a necessity when it comes to walking towards his enemy, Alexa Johnson. What's worse than being a complete loner and being consistently pestered by his enemy, is his family barely provides him a glance when he walks into the room, save for his sister, Sarah, who also enjoys making Josh's life miserable. Though one trip to a Chinese restaurant will change Josh's dismal life forever.
Shijie Zhou is what one might call hard-working and what friends might call hard-working and over-reactive. What Shijie wishes for more than satisfaction from his father, is to move to America, the land where people dance in the streets, nonchalant. Before he can even think of what plane he'd be boarding, a -what seems to be- supernatural event disrupts his dream, allowing him to look beyond the faces of his peers and parents and look into their hearts.
Alexa Johnson has a whole lot of friends, ventures beyond the definition of beautiful, and has no worries weighing her down. At least, that's how everyone sees her as. In reality, her father was thrown in jail for stealing money out of her college fund and she and her mother are not exactly one would call "tight." And all of her friends are merely drones who follow her every command, not someone who would discuss about their crushes and whatnot. Also, she keeps a secret buried deep within, whom only close relatives might remotely know. What's worse, is the school's nerd, Joshua Peddlestone tries to rub his intelligence in her face every chance he gets. But a trip to a Chinese restaurant will grant her, not only friends, but also her worst enemy.
Louise Melón has to suffer the never ending mocking of the mispronunciation of her last name every time a new substitute comes around. However, having a decent amount of friends, seemingly okay grades (save for math), and an acceptable appearance redeems her as the very definition of "ordinary." What she doesn't know is just how extraordinary she will become... and how extraordinary she is.
Achievement: #144 in science fiction (5/19/15)
