It was just like every other Tuesday night. They sat in the kitchen of their apartment doing their homework like usual. The music blasting through the apartment without the his mother having that bad of a hangover telling them to turn down the music. She was out getting wasted most likely not coming home till the next day or so pretending to play the part of a "faithful wife". It disgusted Jonas that such a loser could be his mother.

He tilted his head up at his sister, Annabella writing some kind of medley for a music workshop class at school while bopping her head "I'll Run" by The Cab. It amazed him that she could work on  music assignment and still listen to music that had no meaning to her work. He gave her a little laugh causing her to look up slightly giving him a slight smile.

He stopped referring to her as his step-sister a long time ago. His father was a one night stand, which he found very typical of his mother. She married Annabella's father, an army general who had been though a divorce two years before meeting his mother when Jonas had just turned nine and she was six. For the first year-and-a-half, he did refer to her as a step-sister, but cared for her like they were blood siblings. Not that he is complaining that her father married his mother because he got a sister, but it still confuses him that someone who was a general could fall in love with someone like his mother.

He went back to his geography homework trying to mock his sister by bopping his head in the same motion as her. She looked up out of the corner of her eyes  with a stupid little kid-like grin and laughed at him.

"If you're going to mock me," she began. "at least do it right." She bopped her head over dramatically and laughed at this. He couldn't help but laugh as well.

She looked down at his cotton button-down shirt that was partly unbuttoned at the top and looked at his chest. "Does Amanda know that you got that stupid birthmark on your chest tattooed?" she questioned, referring to his "mother" finding out about the tattooed birthmark on his chest. It was like a sun with a star in the center of it.

"First of all, I like the birthmark and I wanted to show it off more. Second, she isn't sober long enough to notice something like that. And third, if she did, most likely she would be disappointed that I didn't get a second."

Annabella leaned back in her chair, playing with her pencil, looking at her assignment. "It kind of sucks." She says not looking up at him.

"What do you mean?"

"You get to go to college soon and I'm still here with that drunken loser for another three years."

That wasn't the truth in Jonas' mind. In his mind, he would go to B.U., move out of this apartment, and take legal guardianship of her. She didn't deserve to be left alone with someone like his mother, Amanda. With her father going M.I.A. in Iraq, there was no one left but Jonas, which he didn't mind. He loved her so much and wanted what was best for her. It wasn't a burden, but a privilege to have her live with him. She was responsible and mature enough that he wouldn't have to worry about her 24/7, but being a big brother, of course he would. He would go to class, she would go to school, it would work out in their favor.

"That isn't entirely true." He began. Annabella gave him a confused look. "When I turn eighteen and graduate, I am getting the hell out of here. I know that Boston isn't far, but it's still not here."

"Please don't remind me that you're leaving." She said depressed.

"You didn't let me finish." She looked up from her work and at him in the eyes. "When I turn eighteen, I legally become an adult. As and adult, I would have legal guardianship of a minor. You, being fifteen are a minor." Her eyes became wider as though she knew what her brother was talking about. Jonas couldn't help but crack a smile. "With that being said, if a court approves, there is a chance that you could come live with me as your legal guardian."

She didn't say anything. Her mouth hung open, but not a sound came out. "Well please, don't get too excited." he joked.

"But wouldn't you need Amanda and my dad to sign off on it."

"Well no offence, I don't think my mom loves you enough to keep you around." She chuckled knowing it was true. "Also, I talked to the lawyer, he said that because we don't know where Chris is, we wouldn't need his signature of approval." He said that in a more delegate way considering it was still a fresh wound to her.

She looked up at him with watery eyes. Not eyes of sadness, but of joy. "Thank you." she said quietly, getting up, walking around the table and pulling him into a never ending hug.

An hour later, they take a break to watch "Bates Motel". A good fifteen minutes into the episode, there was an annoying tapping at the window. The two of them turn their heads to the window that lead to the fire escape. There was no outlining of a person at the window, something they would be able to see even if it was dark out.

They look at each other confused. Only a few of their friends use the fire escape to get to their apartment, and they would have called or texted them in advance.

"What the hell is that?" asked an annoyed Annabella.

"Probably just the wind." Jonas replied.

They turned their attention back to the TV when the tapping started again.

"Oh my god!" she screamed. "I'm just gonna leave the window open so it stops!" She crawls off the couch and makes her way to the window. She unlocks it and opens it fully.

As she makes her way back, a gush of wind finds it way through the window and knocks down some of the furniture and Annabella. Her head hits the floor with a bang causing her to fall unconscious.

Jonas can't stop screaming her name as he runs over to her. He bends down besides her trying to wake her up, but she doesn't.

Then comes through the window, comes a black figure, a shadow of some sort. Jonas crawls away from the creature as best as he could, but it kept come to him.

"What the hell do you want?" He screamed over the wind. It didn't answer him. Instead, it grabbed him by the back of the shirt and carried out the window and into the night sky leaving behind an unconscious Annabella.

The wind traveled through his hair as they flew to God knows where. Soon something came into view. An island. It was dark and gloomy. Nothing like he had seen before. This could be a number of islands that he has studied, considering he's going to school to study geography.

His thinking of the location of the island was cut off by him falling. He was falling straight down to the island floor. The fall felt like it lasted ten seconds before he actually hit the forest ground. In pain and agony, he slowly stood up and looked around to see a forest only lit by moon light.

"Well it's about time you showed up." a voice from behind said.  Jonas jumped and turned to the body behind the voice. It was a tall boy, a little taller than himself with blond hair, dark cloaks, and a scar on his face. The boy held some kind of weapon in one hand and in the other some rope.

"Who the hell are you?"

"Felix. And there's no need to tell me your name, I know it's Jonas." she said with a smirk.

"How?"

"There is a time and a place for questions, just not here and not now. Plus, I'm not the one you should be asking questions to."

"Then who should I ask the questions to?"

"You'll meet him soon enough back at the camp."

"Like hell I'm going with you."

Felix let out an annoyed sigh. "This could be done the easy way or the hard way." He didn't even need to say the hard way knowing Jonas was eyeing the rope.

"Fine, I'll go with you willingly, just tell me where I am?"

This for some reason caused his smirk to grow wider. "Neverland."
