Pan made his way pass the dancing boys and to his tent, deciding not to use magic. What business he had to talk to Jonas about required his full attention, no reason for him to be more confused than he already is and ask question that weren't of the importance.
In a couple of weeks, Pan would get two new arrivals, he needed something from both of them that Jonas would be able to help with.
He walked in the tent to see a nervous Jonas pace around the open area. They didn't say anything for a moment because of how scared he was, but soon, he broke the silence. "So do I get to know your name or do I get to go through the torture of never knowing?"
He chuckled a bit at the question. "Did I forget to introduce myself? I'm Peter, Peter Pan."
He was just given a blank stare. "Peter Pan? Really? Your parents must have hated you to name you after a fictional storybook character." he laughed.
Pan's expression became a little more serious at the rudeness of the comment. "First of all," he started. "I was sold to a blacksmith as a child, so yes, my parents did hate me. Ans second," he transported himself behind Jonas without him noticing. "as you can see," he stopped to enjoy the boys reaction of jumping a little at the magical actions of Pan. "I am not some fictional storybook character." His tone going much darker. "But we aren't here to talk about the realness of me." he said calming himself down a little.
"Then what are we here to talk about?"
Pan smirk as he has been ready to talk about this for quite some time. "You have a very special gift. It's actually very rare, which made it harder to find you. Anyway, I need you to use that gift to help me."
"And what would that gift be?"
"The gift to control others emotions without having the ability to do magic itself."
"Excuse me?" he asked rudely, almost like a little kid would. "I don't have a "special gift". I can't change how people are feeling. I'm not special like that, you have the wrong person."
"But of course you are. What do you think that birthmark on your chest means?" Jonas looked down at his chest to look at the mark he had gotten tattooed a few months back.
Pan was loving this, he loved having the emotional power over someone without having the actual supernatural power. It made his dominance over others more real and using magic on them all the more fun. "It's a supernatural symbol that one with a supernatural ability is born with."
"Wouldn't I know if I had an ability to control others emotions if I could?"
"No, it's a very easy gift to miss. You could have done it without knowing."
"There is a difference between having magic and having a supernatural power. Magic does come with an extant, including my." he said with cockiness written all over it. "Plus, all magic comes with a price, which I don't want to find out. But a supernatural power doesn't necessarily come with those rules." he explained. "I have two new arrivals coming in a few weeks. They both have something that I need and want. I need you to help me get what I need."
"What exactly is it that you need?"
"From one of them I need their heart." This made Jonas' eyes widen and noticeably gag a little. "It's not what you think. I just simply need there heart to live. And the se-"
"I don't care about the second one!" he cut Pan off. "You want to take someones heart?!"
"Yes." He simply said, confused as to what was odd about it.
"I'm not helping you take someones heart!"
Pan stiffened a bit at the comment. "Well, that isn't much of your choice, now is it?"
"I'm not helping you with this sick plan! So just take me home!"
"This is home now." he said with his tone becoming more cynical. "This is my game! You play by my rules and no one has to get hurt!"
"How about we play a new game? How about the game is you take me home now and get someone else who will be willing to kill somebody for you?"
"That's not how this works."
"Well it does now!"
They just stared at each other in silence until Pan regained his smirk and broke the silence. "Boys!" he called. In a few seconds, four boys came into the tent, one of them being Felix. "Take our friend Jonas put him in a cage. I think some time in there will help clear his mind and rethink his choice."
They all grabbed him by his arms and started to lug him out of the tent.
"I'm not helping you!" he called back.
"We'll see!" Pan said in response. He knew he could get Jonas to help him. After all, Peter Pan never fails. "Put him next to the other one!"
