Chapter Six: Dance the Night Away

[Episode Six: My Friend Redbot]

All of us were at school, as we helped set up for the school dance.

"Music!" Victor shouted, he stood in the middle of the main area.

Sarah was behind the DJ booth, she turns on the music. Victor starts practicing.

"And now, for my super-duper-mega twirl!" Victor said, he starts twirling. He suddenly twirled faster and he knocked over a bucket and crashed into the table causing the punchbowl to flip and got on, Brody, Hayley and I.

"Nice moves, Victor." Brody sarcastically said.

"On my favorite jacket?!" I exclaimed, seeing my black jacket now soaked in punch.

"We, better go clean up before Victor shows us his "super-twirl", again." Hayley said.

The three of us left, to go to the base.

Brody, Hayley and I groaned in displeasure, as the three of us went into the base.

"Hey Kody, where's Redbot?" Brody asked. Kody barked in respond. "What did he say?" He asked Hayley and I.

"Uh, I don't know. I don't speak dog." Hayley replied, chuckling.

"We don't speak animals." I said, chuckling.

"Ah. Good point." Brody said. Hayley and I laughed.

"Oh, heads up." Hayley said, she tossed two rags to us.

"Thanks, Hayley." I said. I took off my black jacket, and put it on the table. I wiped myself clean.

"Hmm. He was here earlier. We were talking." Hayley said.

Brody saw a book and picks it up. ""Won't you accompany me to the grand ball?"" He read.

"That's exactly what Redbot said to me." Hayley said.

"He asked you to the dance?" Brody asked. Hayley nodded.

"What did you say?" I asked.

"I told him no, of course." Hayley replied, she chuckled. "Brody, Beau, he's just a robot." She said.

"I wonder if you hurt his feelings when you said no. Maybe that's why he left." Brody said.

"You're kidding, right? Robots don't have feelings." Hayley said.

"Redbot does. He's quite advanced. Why else would he leave?" Brody said.

"He has point, sis." I said.

"He probably went for a stroll to stretch his springs or oil his joints." Hayley said, shrugging.

"I'm going to go look for him." Brody said, he was about to leave the base.

"No. No." Hayley said, stopping him. "You promised you'd help with the dance. Kody, Beau and I will find Redbot, okay?" She said.

"Alright, thanks Hayley." Brody said, and we left the base.

"Good luck with the dance." I said, waving at him.

Hayley grabs the book, and went over to Kody. "Get Redbot's scent, Kody. Let's go find him." She said.

"Let's go, Kody." I said.

Kody barked and ran out of the base.
