Chapter Ten: Childhood Memories

[Episode Ten: The Ranger Ribbon]

The Rangers and I were at the park, as we were walking towards an area, that Preston was bringing us. I was honestly surprised they invited me.

"Where you takin' us, Preston?" Levi asked.

"You'll see." Preston replied.

"Isn't that the ribbon tree?" Brody asked, the others laughed as they ran towards the tree full of ribbons. "Oh, man."

I remember it from when I was a kid." Brody said. All of us got close to the tree.

"Wow, there's thousands of ribbons." Sarah said. "But, I don't- I don't get it." She said.

"Yeah. What's the deal?" Levi asked.

"It's so great. You tie a ribbon to symbolize important moments like family, friends." Preston said.

"Cal and I put one up on our anniversary." Hayley said.

"Well, now we'll all be on the tree together." Preston said, he showed everyone the ribbon he had full of everyone's names including mine.

"Oh, Brody, Preston, Calvin, Hayley, Sarah, Beau, Levi, Alistair." Brody read the ribbon.

"Wait, why am I on it?" I asked.

"Cause you're our friend, Alistair." Preston said. "We couldn't leave you out." He said.

It's pretty surprising that they even put my name onto it.

"That's a great idea. Well, let's put it up." Calvin said, and everyone agreed. "How about right here?" He asked, as they hang the ribbon.

I saw Beau watching the others putting the ribbon fondly. I went over to him. "What are you thinking about?" I asked.

"I'm just, really glad to have been friends with everyone." Beau said. "Including you, Star."

I raised my eyebrow. "Star? That's new." I said.

Beau shrugged. "It's what Levi called you, anyway." He said. He suddenly smirked. "I think he likes you."

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, no." I denied. "That seems highly unlikely." I said. I smirked. "And did Brody called you anything special?" I asked.

"No, why?" Beau asked.

"'Cause you have a crush on him." I whispered. "And before you denied, I saw the way you look at him."

"Is it that obvious?" Beau asked.

"Pretty much." I replied.

The both of us chuckled, not noticing Levi and Brody were looking at us. Beau went over to help the others, look for a spot to hang the ribbon.

I was looking at all of the different ribbons on the tree, until I spotted one. "Aiden Romero & Liam Salvatore. Together Forever." It read. Seeing that ribbon suddenly make my head hurts.

"Aiden, come on." A small boy wearing a mini ninja suit, he was following the boy Aiden, he was also holding a katana. "We're gonna be in trouble."

"Don't you wanna see the surprise, I have for us Liam?" Aiden asked, he took Liam's hand and they continue on their way.

"I do, but I also don't want to get in trouble with our dads." I said, still walking with Aiden. "I grabbed my dad's katana, just in case."
