" I'm going to call Capo and ask him." He chirps while I pushed him towards the main door.
" I dare you to do so," I said with a big grin and a fake threatening tone, as he turned around standing out of the main door with the laptop bag in his hand.
" Why!! I can't wait anymore" He whines dramatically. Woah!! I swear I like the bossy Alexender more than this cute Alex. I shook my head in dismay.
" Wait!! You'll be late for the meeting " I scolded, pushing him away. He gave me a pointy look as he fixed his jacket.
" I'm not letting it go this time, especially after what you said," He said the last part with a sly smirk walking towards the car. I stood there waving bye to him. A chuckle escaped my mouth as I remember how he reacted when I said my father could be his father-in-law. The reaction was unpredicted. He halted his act, almost cracking the egg out of the bowl. He stared me dead in the eye with no reaction on his face, for a moment I thought I said something wrong or he might be disappointed or something. My playful grin was long gone as I was about to open my mouth to apologise but then he turned around walking out of the kitchen, shouting where's my phone? where's my phone? I chuckled at his remembering his ecstatic face while he was trying to call Dad.
Walking towards the car, he descends the three steps to the front door. As the driver opened the door for him, he handed him the bag. Watching him leave filled my heart with unease for some reason I can't explain, I felt a pang in my heart.
"Alex!" I called, stopping him. He turned around raising his brows merrily. With no idea what to say, I just opened my arms wide while doing the grabby hands with puppy eyes. He rattled his head in dismay with a beaming smile and then open his arms wide while gesturing his fingers to come. My first instinct was to hug him tightly as I dashed toward him. I breathe in his scent, I felt calmer and more relaxed while listening to his heartbeats. A chuckle rumbles out of his chest filling me with a fuzzy warmth against the harsh weather outside. He rubbed my back while hugging me back with similar emotions.
" I'll be back soon! " He whispers kissing my forehead, making me smile. He tried to pull me out but I refused snuggling more in his warmth and he wrapped his arms back again. " I was wondering ...." He chirps and I hummed in response" That I....maybe..." he paused and I looked up to meet his eyes " Maybe?" I urged curiously.
" Buy some gelato for you," he beams and I bet my orbs must be dazzling after hearing the word 'Gelato'. He giggled at my reaction " I'm going in the direction of your favorite gelateria, I'll get some on my way back" He announced making me all giddy and excited. I know it's just ice cream....but it makes me happier than any other thing in the world.
" Thank you!!!" I said almost jumping in excitement " So, I want Caramel hazelnut-"
" Stop!" He stopped me, restraining my lips with his index finger" I'll call you when I'm in the store. I won't remember those long names anyway" He joked, making me giggle. I nodded and he softly kissed my lips once again before getting in the car. I stepped back watching his car drive off through the driveway.
I walked back inside all gleeful and giddy remembering how he literally dropped the egg out of the bowl and then kept on making me repeat what I said. It was so hard to stop him to call my dad. He was so determined to ask Dad to be his father-in-law.
I giggled repeating all the breakfast memories as I climbed upstairs. I walked towards Arthur's bedroom, he must be sleeping after working up till dawn. I know I created a mess but neither Arthur nor Alex said a word to me. They both repeatedly told me to relax and that they'll deal with the situation. Arthur is always goofy and mischievous but yesterday he was solemn and accountable while handling the situation with the team. Alex asked me don't fight with him and wake him up for breakfast. Here I'm on my way to wake him up. Without knocking, I bragged into his room, ever since he started dating Jass, no girl stepped into his room, so it's safe to walk into his room anytime.
