"Well that was an ordeal." Declan groaned the moment the Shadowhunters were out of the door. He pointed a finger at the room emptying of customers. "One of you ratted on me. They knew way too many specifics. When I find out who, that's it, you're done—!"

"Knock-knock!" Alysha loudly announced as she swept through the door.

Dec glowered. "I might have known, it was you!"

"You two know each other?" Travis asked.

"We've met briefly. Thought she was your sister for a while. Then figured she had a twin or something."

"Or something." Alysha agreed.

"You sicced the Shadowhunters on me!"

Alysha trailer her fingers casually along the countertop. "... Did they find anything?"

"Fortunately, no." Declan snarked. "We have plans for such an event. Not that I think they'd share it with you if they did."

"I wasn't expecting them to. That wasn't the point."

Declan looked at her in disbelief. "... They were your blunt object to use against me? Why? Were you just proving you could? Is that why you're in here, like some comic book villain, revealing all your plans? If you wanted my help to find your sister, you could have just asked."

"Because you would have wanted something." Alysha said, fixing him with a steely gaze. "And because I don't trust your family as far as I can throw you."

Declan's eyes blazed. "What problem do you have with my family, huh?"

Alysha pulled back her lips as if in a feral snarl, warding him off. She leant over the counter. "That's mine to know, and yours to find out."

She drew back, smiling brightly. "But do let me know what you find out." She chucked Travis under the chin as she passed. "Don't worry, you're fine. I've nothing against you."

"You leave me to do what I do best." Dec called after her. "And I'll leave you to do yours; manipulating the good guys into doing your bidding."

Alysha shot him a dazzling smile as she sauntered out of the door. "I am rather good at it, aren't I?"

"...You realise that wasn't the comeback you thought it was?" Travis told Dec once she had disappeared.

"Yeah, I know."
