Chapter -10

Everyone gathered for dinner by 8:00 pm around dining table that's when ali and rumi saw aman coming in along with badi amma and miyajaan . There was nothing indifferent about this situation for anyone accept for aliyaan and Rumaisa . Rumi looked at ali , both shared a brief eye contact as if they both were having a conversation with their eyes . Well seher didn't paid any attention to it but this didn't go unnoticed by rehaan.

Rumi has been exceptionally avoiding him for past couple of days .he did got the hint that she might be upset about getting caught by her brothers but looking at her now ,he was sure that something else happened as well.

" asalam walikum abba" jannat and faisal both greeted her parents.

" walikum asalam meri bachi - faisal miya ,bade dino baad mulakat ho rahi hai" miyajaan greeted back taking faisal in a hug and patting jannat's head lovingly.

"Ji abba , office main aaj kal bahot busy rahte hai yeh , Ajj toh amma ke kehne par aaye hai .
Humne toh inse promise liya hai ki jaise hi yeh deal complete hogi hum phirse last year ki tarah lonavala vacation par jaenge. Aap sab chalenge n bhaijaan ." Jannat asked her brother.

"Bilkul , humari gudiya humse kuch mange aur hum use mana karein ,aisa kabhi hua hai."jamshed replied to his sister adoring her .

The clinking of glass got everyone's attention to badi amma "maine aaj kisi aur silsile main aapko yahan bulaya hai faisal miya . Ali aur seher ke nikkah ko do saal ho gaye hai aur hum soch rahe the ki inki ruksati bhi jald karde . Vaise ghar ke bade bete ki shadi pehle honi chahiye thi lekin iss khotte de puttar ko toh koi parwah hi nhi hai"

Badi amma fake slapped aman saying that and making everyone laugh at his expense.
Seher's happiness knew no bounds after listening to badi amaa's announcement but when she turned towards ali her smile vanished seeing a sorrowful expression on his face .

Ali jerked sensing seher's hand on his "yaan , kya hua aap khush nhi hai kya"

Shaking his head in a negative way he replied "nhi esa khuch nhi hai ,i just wasn't expecting it"

"Ali bhaijaan ki toh salon ki tamanaah puri hui hai bhabhi jaan ,Why won't he be happy?" jahaan teased his brother.

" teri tamanaah bhi puri kar deta hun agla no. Iska hi lagwa do line main" aliyaan replied back throwing a fork at jahaan .

"Mere pehle rehaan betha hai , jab tak uski aur rumi ki shadi....ahhh" jahaan was stopped by rehaan again before he could spill any further.

"Rumi ki shadi?" Arsal tried to further enquire from him . He and fawad were already aware about his daughter and rehaan loving each other but wanted them to confess and come clean before everyone.

"Kuch nahi baba ese hi bakwas kar rha hai yeh" ali tried to cover up after him ,he didn't have any idea if aman had talked to badi amma about rumi and rehaan or not . Till then he can't let anyone know about their relationship especially their parents.

"Amma ab is gadhe ne bol hi diya hai , toh mujhe bhi aapse kuch kehna tha" arsal asked his mother for her permission.

"Bolo"
"Rumi ke liye rishta aya hai , ladka bada acha hai lawyer hai . Toh main soch raha tha ki kal ek dafa sare bade mil lete hai phir agar hume acha laga toh ,hum unhe ghar par dawat ke liye bula lenge aur rumi se bhi unki mulakat ho jaegi"

Rehaan became pale listening to him .

"But chachu rumi se toh puch lein .voh toh kisi aur ko pasand karti hai" jahaan pipped in again.

"Rumi beta kya jahaan sahi keh raha hai , app kisiko pasand karti hai ? Kya naam hai uska?"badi amma asked her .

Rumi glanced at rehaan before looking at badi amma .she was shivering like a leaf . rehaan and ali both could see her anxiety peeking through.

Before ali could speak rehaan stood up with a thud gathering everyone's attention to him from rumi . He crossed the table and went towards arsal kneeling in front of him .

"Chachu , aap kal oos ladke se milne nahi jaa sakte"

"Kyun beta kya hua hai" this time it was fawad who asked his son . He was expecting rehaan to protest hearing about a proposal for rumi but he wasn't expecting him to be this bold.

After getting to know about them both all the elders decided that rumi and rehaan have to confess their feelings themselves in front of everyone . So fawad suggested a plan about a fake proposal which will definitely instigated his son and knowing him he would make a big fuss about it but what was happening in front of him was totally opposite to what he thought . Looks like someone is about to propose but the only funny thing here is that it was not to a girl rather it was to the said girl's father.

"Kyunki , main rumi se shaadi karna chahta hun baba" there was pin drop silence in the dining room after his confession. The tension was so thick one could easily cut it with a knife.

A small sound of sob from Rumi brought everyone out of their reverie . Ali was the first to reach towards his sister and engulfed her in her arms.

"Kab se chal raha hai yeh sab " miya jaan's strict voice roared in dining room.

Rehaan got up from the floor "ek saal se miya jaan" he said bowing his head.

"Aur kitne saal chupane ka irada tha rehaan" his mother questioned him .

"Humara esa koi irada nahi tha ammi , maine rumi se promise kiya tha ki jab humari graduation ho jaegi toh main aapke samne confess karke uske liye marriage proposal bhejunga" he truthfully replied to his mother.

"But if we had not caught you in movie theatre ,you wouldn't have told us as well" aman said twisting his ears .

"Ahh sorry n bhaijaan" rehaan apologised.

"Chalo der aaye par durust aaye . Tumhara aur rumi ka bhi nikaah ali aur seher ki ruksati ke sath hi hoga" badi amma declared getting up from her chair.

" naa , meri bachi hone wali dulhan itna nahi roti" she said rotating a bunch of money over rumi's head.

" zakira , yeh paise jaake gareeb main baatdo aur kuch kambal bhi le jana" badi amma ordered the maid.

"Nikaah ke baad bhi meri beti mere aakhon ke saamne hogi isse jayada ek baap kya hi maang sakta hai" asrsal said coming towards them .

Breaking away from aliyaan's embrace she immediately went into her abu's arms " i am sorry abu , main apko takleef nahi dena chahti thi"

"Beti ki shaadi main har baap ko takleef hoti hai but main khush hun ki tumne ek acha ladka chuna hai apne liye " he said gesturing rehaan to join them , who without any second thought obliged.

While everyone was busy admiring the trio and manu capturing every moment with her phone, jiya quickly went to get the sweets out from refrigerator that she had already ordered in afternoon.

As everyone was feeding on sweets badi amma went towards the corner of room where aman was standing "in dono ki naiya tune paar laga di ,but ab tu kab hume khuskhabri sunaega"

Aman glanced over tammanaah before answering " allah ne chaha toh jald hi"

Jahaan spilling the secrets have been trending lately .bichare ko abhi tak single jo rakha hai , koi ni jald hi hum iske liye bhi koi achi ladki laenge .

On the second thought ,you all know that I am not feeling well so there has been some delay in the updates and my situation is still not better ,I am still struggling to get in the space to write .
