Cordelia finally manages to knock out her bounty. She catches her breath as she stares down at him, exhausted from chasing and fighting him. She binds his wrists before pulling out her comlink and alerting her client to her location. Thankfully, her client was kind and offered to pick up the bounty if he was still on the planet.

She pulls out her blaster and pulls over a crate knocked over in the struggle to sit on while she waits.

"How did it go?" A voice calls. Cordelia turns, spotting her client approaching, two men following her. She stands and smiles.

"All right. I'm definitely taking a break after this one, though." She replies. Her client laughs and pats her knee.

"Well, if you need somewhere to stay, I know a place." She says. Cordelia smiles, shaking her head.

"I think I'm gonna go stay with family. But thanks for the offer." She tells her.

"If you ever need another job, I could always use your help." She replies.

"Thanks, Maz. I hope everything goes great with him." Cordelia says, gesturing towards the man on the ground. She laughs as Cordelia starts walking away.

"Oh, I'm going to make his work twice as hard for this little stunt." She calls. Cordelia laughs as she rounds the corner, heading back to her ship.

Cordelia sighs, sitting down at the edge of the sea. She slips off her boots and rolls up her pants, dipping her feet into the water. She stares out over the water, wondering what her family is up to.

She sighs again, knowing that just being on the same planet as them isn't enough for her anymore. She stands, holding her boots as she begins walking back to her ship. She smiles as she thinks of how big Ben must have gotten since the last time she'd seen him.

Cordelia's smile fades as she approaches her ship and spots Tamu Dree leaning against it. He pushes off it and meets her in front of her ship.

"Why are you here?" He asks her.

"I know you said that I was bringing danger to Han when I visited, and I haven't. But it's been too long since I've seen them. Visiting Chandrila and not seeing them isn't enough for me anymore." She answers. He crosses his arms over his chest and sighs.

"You can visit soon. I've found where the threat is. He's on Arvala-7." He replies. She grins and approaches her ship.

"Well, let's go." She says.

Cordelia lands her ship, and they climb out. Tamu leads the way towards the threat, Cordelia behind him, keeping an eye out for danger and holding her blaster in her hand, prepared to use it.

They reach the village, and she looks around, not seeing anyone. She warily holsters her blaster, keeping an eye out in case the village isn't actually empty. She spots Tamu waiting for her in the center and moves to stand in front of him.

"The threat's here?" She asks. He nods, and Cordelia turns as she hears movement behind her. Two Nikto dart forward and grabs her arms, pinning them to her sides, before she can grab her blaster. She grunts, struggling to free herself.

"The threat is you, Cordelia." Tamu says. She glares at him. "The Empire is looking for information on Han and Leia, but they're untouchable at the moment. They've placed a bounty on your head, and for their sake, I have to get you far away from them." He explains.

Tamu nods at one of the Nikto and he grabs Cordelia's face, covering her mouth, and tilts her head to the side, exposing her neck. Tamu grabs a syringe from his pocket and looks at Cordelia as she protests, the sound muffled by the Nikto's hand.

"I truly am sorry, but it's for the best." He tells her. The Nikto keep her in place as Tamu injects the liquid in the syringe into her neck. They let her go and she tries to keep her focus on Tamu as her vision starts to blur and her body begins to feel limp.

"I'll kill you." She slurs, lunging at him. He moves to the side easily and she falls to the ground. She tries to get back up, but her arms give out. She tries to fight, but she quickly loses consciousness.

Cordelia wakes and sits up, clutching her head with a wince. She looks around, confused as to where she is and how she got there. She tries to think back but can't remember anything besides her first name.

She turns as she hears a coo to her left. She shuffles to the side and kneels so she's even with the pram where the sound came from. She presses a button, and the pram opens, revealing the Child. She gasps and he coos again, reaching towards her.

"Hi, Buddy. How did you get here?" She says, carefully lifting him into her arms. He coos again, touching her face. She laughs and boops his nose. He giggles and she smiles down at him.

"I don't know where we are or how we got here, but I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I promise." Cordelia tells the Child, knowing that everything will be okay as long as they're together.

This is the actual last chapter of this story as I had totally forgotten that I had an epilogue planned! I do have a new story ready to post on Monday, so keep an eye out for that :)

For those wondering, Tamu Dree was friends with Han when he was with the Empire. I was wanting the person who betrayed Han to be a friend, but not someone super important to him or anyone well known lol.
