"I saw 'em! I saw 'em!" Han tells Chewie, flying the Falcon as they're followed by the Empire.

"Saw what?" Leia asks.

"Stardestroyers, two of 'em coming right at us." He replies, pointing to them. Cordelia sighs, looking at her brothers.

"Either of you got a plan?" She asks.

"Sir! Sir! Might I suggest-" C-3PO says, entering the cockpit.

"Shut him up or shut him down!" Han shouts. Cordelia rolls her eyes, leaning forward to smack the back of his head.

"Manners, Han! I don't care if we're in a life-or-death situation!" She scolds.

"Check the deflector shield." He tells Chewie, completely ignoring her. "Great. Well, we can still outmaneuver them." He says. Cordelia straps herself into her seat, knowing exactly how he flies. Leia follows her lead and they each grab one of 3POs arms to keep him in place. "Prepare to make the jump to light speed."

"They're getting closer." Leia warns.

"Oh, yeah? What this." He says. Cordelia sighs.

"This always goes well." She says sarcastically. He pulls the lever down and the engine stalls.

"Watch what?" Leia asks. She ship lurches and Cordelia tightens her grip on her seat.

"I think we're in trouble." Han says. Cordelia scoffs.

"If I may say so, sir, I noticed earlier the hyperdrive motivator has been damaged. It's impossible to go to light speed." 3PO tells him.

"You would've known earlier if you had been nicer!" She calls after him as he rushes out of the cockpit. Chewie follows soon after and they get to work on fixing the hyperdrive. Leia and Cordelia move to the co-pilot and pilot seats to keep an eye on the ship's direction.

"Han, get up here!" Leia tells him as the ship approaches an asteroid field and one hits the ship. "Asteroids." She informs him when he and Chewie enter the cockpit. They take their seats back.

"Chewie, set two-seven-one." Han says.

"What are you doing? We're entering the asteroid field? Han, this is crazy!" Cordelia says.

"No, they'd be crazy to follow us, wouldn't they?" He replies.

"You're an idiot." She tells him.

"You say idiot, I say genius." He says as he begins steering them around the asteroids.

"You don't have to do this to impress me." Leia adds.

"Sir, the possibility of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately 3,720 to 1." 3PO informs him.

"Never tell me the odds!" Han says. He flies, barely dodging asteroids in front of them. "You said you wanted to be around when I made a mistake. This could be it, sweetheart." He tells Leia.

"I take it back. We're gonna get pulverized if we stay out here much longer." She replies.

"Ain't gonna argue with that." He responds. "I'm going in closer to one of the big ones."

"Closer?!" Leia, Cordelia, and 3PO ask.

"I can't watch this. If we die, I want you all to know that I love you." Cordelia says. She ignores their talking until the cockpit gets darker.

"I hope you know what you're doing." Leia says.

"Yeah. Me, too." Han replies as he flies the ship further into the darkness.

"I'm gonna shut down everything but the emergency power systems." Han says, re-entering the cockpit.

"Sir, I'm almost afraid to ask, but does that include shutting me down, too?" 3PO asks.

"No. I need you to talk to the Falcon. Find out what's wrong with the hyperdrive." He replies. The ship lurches to the side, everyone quickly holding onto the nearest object to keep themselves upright.

"Sir, it's quite possible this asteroid is not entirely stable." He says.

"Not entirely stable? I'm glad you're here to tell us these things. Chewie, take the professor in the back and plug him into the hyperdrive." He tells him.

"Sometimes, I just don't understand human behavior. After all, I'm only trying to do my job." 3PO says as Chewie leads him out of the room. Cordelia follows behind, patting his arm.

"Don't worry, 3PO. Han's a completely different breed of human. They're called assholes. You'll learn all about them the more time you spend with him." She says. Chewie laughs and ruffles her hair, agreeing completely.

"Ow! Quit tugging on my arm so hard!" Cordelia complains as Leia drags her away from where she was helping Chewie. She pushes her into the bunks and locks the door behind them. "What happened?" She asks, seeing the slightly shocked expression on her friend's face.

"Han and I just kissed." She blurts out. Cordelia squeals, shaking Leia by her shoulders.

"That's great! It's about time you two finally did something about your feelings." She says. Leia opens her mouth to argue but pauses, sighing instead. Cordelia wraps her arm around her shoulders and leads her to sit on the bed. "Hey. I know you're probably scared, because let's be honest, any kind of strong feelings are scary. But I promise you that once Han cares about someone, he would do almost anything for them. If you decide to explore your feelings with him, he'll treat you right." She chuckles. "Even if he doesn't act like it. He puts on a tough act but he's really just a big softie."

"Have you ever cared about someone like this before?" Leia asks. Cordelia frowns, looking down at her lap.

"Um, no. But I'm only 26 so I think I've got plenty of time left to find my other half." She says. She shakes her head and smiles, nudging Leia with her shoulder. "You're lucky. You found your other half early so you get even more time with him." Leia leans her head on Cordelia's shoulder.

"Thanks, Cory." She says. She smiles, patting Leia's hand.

"It's no trouble. I know you're probably not ready now, but if you decide you want to talk to someone about it, I'm always here. I promise that anything you say is just between you and me." She tells her.

"I know. If you ever want to talk about Luke, I'm here too." Leia replies. Cordelia pulls away to look at her.

"What? Why would I want to talk about Luke?" She asks. Leia raises an eyebrow.

"Because he has feelings for you." She answers. Cordelia shakes her head.

"You're crazy." She tells her.

"It's clear he's got a crush." Leia replies. Cordelia groans.

"This is not happening." She says. Leia laughs.

"Oh, come on. Is it so hard to believe he might like you? Look at you. A badass, beautiful, and smart older woman. You're a total catch." She tells her. Cordelia shakes her head.

"That's not the problem. Luke's like a brother to me." She says.

"Oh. I'm sure he won't have any hard feelings about it. You just have to be honest." She says.

"I haven't done anything to make him think I have feelings for him, have I? Oh, this is a mess." Cordelia groans, burying her face in her hands. Leia laughs, patting her back.

"Nothing but friendliness, I promise. We'll figure out a plan to let him down easy." She assures.

"Only if we also come up with a plan on how to get you and Han together officially." She replies. Leia rolls her eyes, but she's smiling.

"All right." Leia says.

"It's what best friends are for. I didn't make the rules." She responds. Leia laughs as they leave the bunks and make their way towards the cockpit.
