Eddie and Buck watch a movie in Buck's living room, because Eddie can't handle an empty house.

Christopher is at a sleepover and Eddie gets lonely.

--------------

Eddie knocked on the apartment door, which was quickly answered by Buck, and a warm smile. "Hey, thanks for letting me come over."

"Of course. Don't worry, I was lonely too." Buck winked slyly. Eddie rolled his eyes.

"I wasn't lonely, the house was just.. too quiet. You know?" Eddie stepped around Buck and ignored the ordered pizzas on the counter. Eddie sat down on Buck's new couch, the cushions weren't broken in yet, stiff in an oddly comfortable way.

"Mm, yeah, sounds like what I said when I was really lonely." Buck snorted, grabbing the pizza boxes and bringing them out to the sitting area. He sunk into the couch next to his best friend, giving him a dorky smile.

"Yeah, whatever. You said you had a movie planned?" Eddie questioned, gesturing to the television. Buck made an 'mm' sound, grabbing the remote and turning the tv onto the movie, "Heathers."

"It's an old movie, sure, but Maddie insisted that I watch it. So, I'm making you suffer with me. Or not suffer, and it becomes our shared favorite movie." Buck gave two thumbs up as he started the movie without giving Eddie a chance to argue.

Eddie exhaled fondly, grabbing a piece of pizza and getting comfortable. As the guys were getting settled, and Veronica was giving her introductory speech, Buck found himself most comfortable shoulder to shoulder with Eddie. Their shoulders and biceps tingled with a strange, somewhat familiar feeling. One that was almost intoxicating.

Throughout the movie, Buck found himself focusing less and less, along with Eddie. He randomly zoned out and focused on the features where he and Eddie were touching. Eddie was distracted aswell, and he was focusing on the same thing, except he was focusing on how it made him feel. At one point, Eddie lets out a breathy laugh, and tried to play it off as toward the movie. "Uh, wow, this movie is kind of bad." He chuckled.

Buck nodded, "Yeah. Kiss me if I'm wrong, but this movie is terrible." As the words fell out of his mouth, both of the men focused on the first part. And how they didn't think it was a horrible idea.

Eddie laughed. "Honestly, I haven't been paying much attention to it. It could be completely amazing." He didn't know why he said it, but it felt natural. The tease along with a subtle hint of genuine pining.

Then the boys realized. They realized that these feelings weren't completely weird, but one that they hadn't felt in a while. One that they hadn't been able to wrap their head around in a while. The feeling was called love, and it had taken them a while to realize that it wasn't platonic. So when Eddie implied that Buck could have been wrong, it felt right for them to turn to look at eachother, and close the space.

It wasn't a great kiss. It was kind of awkward at first, and it ended quickly. But when they reconnected, they found that they flowed into it way better. The second kiss was only slightly longer, but it was filled with unmistakable love.

Eddie and Buck continued to exchange small kisses, never letting eachother get a word out, until they both decided it was time to just lay down for the night. Instead of Buck staying downstairs while Eddie went to sleep in his bed, they both climbed the stairs, and into bed with each other.

Maddie was happy to know that their favorite movie is Heathers.
