Amy awoke to loud banging on her front door. She swung her legs out of her bed and threw on her nightgown and rushed down the stairs. Grabbing her gun from the stand by the door she opened it with the gun pointing at whoever was at her door at this hour of the night.

"Its me Tommy Amy, open the door" Tommy said as he stood there unfazed by the gun.

"Tommy its 3 in the morning what are you doing here" Amy asked annoyed he woke her from her sleep.

"Me and Polly had an argument I have no where else to stay, can I stay here for the night seeing as we have a meeting in the morning anyway" Tommy enquired hoping she would say yes.

"First bedroom on the left up the stairs" Amy said as she closed the door behind him.

"I need to confess something to you" Tommy spoke as she turned to him before walking up the stairs.

"Can it not wait till morning, Its 3 in the fucking morning" Amy said as she glared at him with her arms crossed knowing she had nothing but her nightgown underneath her robe.

"Campell is after guns, guns that were taken from Winston Churchill and I have them, my men picked up the wrong crate and now I hold numerous amounts of guns that have been reported as stolen. I have been using them to my advantage, I have had the IRA reaching out saying they would buy them off my hands because one of my workers couldn't keep his fucking mouth closed. Whatever you do tomorrow do not mention the guns unless I say, I want to play him at his own game and I want him to obey by some rules that I will run by you tomorrow, I should have told you and I am sorry but they are becoming a burden on me" Tommy admitted

Amy just stood there taking in all the information she received, she thought of multiple ways to manipulate Campell but this just made it even better. Tommy stood there waiting for her response hoping she wouldn't lash out at him like Polly did.

"Okay, we will discuss this in the morning, good night Thomas" She said as she made her way back to bed. Tommy followed her up the stairs and into the room across from hers. "Good night Amy" He spoke before they both closed their doors.

Amy stayed awake the rest of the night, terrified her nightmares would haunt her once again. She didn't want Tommy hearing her cries for help so she laid there thinking of their meeting tomorrow, Tommy also did the same, he stayed awake not wanting to alarm her of his waking and gasping for air with his nightmare. Both suffered the same terrifying nightmare but neither of them would speak about them.

An hour went by and Amy couldn't lay in bed any longer. She got back up and made her way to the kitchen. It felt weird to her that Tommy was in the other room but she knew they were only business partners. Grabbing a cup Amy placed it on the counter and bowled the kettle. She always felt this would help the nightmares settle a little. While making the tea Amy heard a loud bang from outside and dropped the mug to the floor. The ringing in her ears started and blocked out any sound around her. She stood staring at the wall until Tommy came rushing into the kitchen. He called her name a few times but there was no response. Tommy walked in front of her and called her quietly this time. She quickly snapped out of it and looked at him with frightened eyes. He knew this look all too well.

"Christ I cant even make a cup of tea, Sorry if I woke you, I got a fright when the kettle boiled" She tried to change the subject. "Would you like a cup of tea?" She asked grabbing another cup from above her.

"Yes" Tommy answered sitting across from her.

Amy made 2 cups and placed them down on the table. She took a seat opposite Tommy and opened her cigarette case offering Tommy one which he gladly accepted. Tommy lit her cigarette for her and lit his own as he studied her for a few seconds.

"You were in the war" He said which took Amy by surprise.

"What makes you think that" She asked taking a sip of her tea looking directly at him.

"I saw the fear in your eyes like I do in mine when I hear a sound that sounds like a gun or a bomb, I can tell you haven't been sleeping over the bags under your eyes when you don't have makeup on to cover them up and you block out every sound around you after you hear a bang" Tommy said as he took a sip of his tea.

"Very observant Tommy ill give you that much and yes I was in the War, but you were also too, you suffer from nightmares I can see it in your eyes right now that you couldn't sleep afraid I would hear you wake in fright, You threw your medals in the cut after receiving them for your bravery in taking a bullet in France and you didn't come back the same man you were before" She said smoking her cigarette, "Nobody came back the same" She spoke in almost a whisper as she thought back to it. They both sat their in silence enjoying each others company but never would admit it, they both decided it was time to get back to bed and try and get some sleep.

Amy was awoken to knocking on her bedroom door. "Its 7:00 AM Amy get ready, were leaving in an hour" Tommy informed as he walked down the stairs. Amy groaned getting up but decided to shower and get herself ready. It was 7:45 when she made her way into the kitchen ready for the meeting. Tommy was sat there reading the paper with a cigarette hanging from his mouth as he glanced at her as she made her way around the table to grab her case. She opened it to find it empty.

"There was one left, mine were gone I hope you don't mind" Tommy smirked smoking the cigarette.

Amy walked around the table and took the cigarette from Tommys mouth and began to smoke it herself. "Sharing is caring Tommy" She said as she smirked walking out towards the door. "Come on we don't wanna be late for Chester" She said as she held the door open for Tommy. They both walked out the door and into Tommys car making their way to Inspector Campell.
