Amy slowly walked down the streets of Small Heath with her head held high as she ignored the looks she was getting from people on the street. They knew who she was and knew she worked with the Shelbys. She was feared in her country and now in Birmingham. She took out her keys and went to place them in the door until she spotted it was open already. She quickly took out her gun and walked into the house slowly checking her surroundings. She walked into walk up the stairs and searched the bed rooms first slowly making her way from each bedroom, she carried on down to her sitting room and into the kitchen where she spotted a box placed on her table with her name on it. She quickly dropped it on the floor to ensure it wasn't gonna blow and quickly unboxed it. She spotted what was inside with a card and slowly began to back away. She put the containments of the box to her chest and for once let the tears flow down her cheeks.
Amy was in no mood. She walked through the streets to the pub declining she attend the family meeting as today wasn't a good day. She flung the doors open in search of Harry and without a word he knew she wanted the bottle. Quickly placing it on the counter she smilled at him and carried on to a booth to be left alone. Just as she was about to drown her sorrows she heard the doors opening, Ada Shelby walks in, noticing her she walks over to Amy. She began taking off her gloves and sitting down across from Amy. She could tell something was off with her.
"Harry, whiskey for me please, and bring another bottle, Amy here needs it I think" Ada said as she looked at Amy, studying her face but saw the same thing she saw in her brothers face, no emotion so she was unable to read her.
"Penny for your thoughts"Ada asked as Harry placed her whiskey and Amys second bottle of the table.
"I don't wanna talk about it, lets just leave it at that" Amy spoke her voice threatening, warning Ada not to push any further.
"Amy, can I ask you something" Ada said as she took a sip of her drink
"Go on" Amy nodded taking a swig of her bottle.
"Have you made any friends here?" Ada questioned
"No, Why do you ask" Amy answered back not understanding her motive
"Then let me be your friend, you are gonna be doing business with my brothers and I want no part in that side of the family so let me be your friend, Could use a friend around here that aren't my brothers and aunt" Ada laughed as she looked at Amy.
Amy smirked and took another swig of her drink. "I need a few more of these before you have me talking" She replied looking deeply into the bottle infront of her.
"Harry, another 2 bottles for Ms Sulllivans here, we may be here awhile" Ada smirked as she took one of the bottles herself.
After a few hours of accesive drinking Amy and Ada were still chatting. Amy was telling her about her family as Ada did hers. They both really enjoyed their company and not one to admit but Amy was happy Ada walked in when she did. Amy was beyond drunk but knew she could keep going as it brought the pain away.
"Okay, I am well too drunk to drink anymore, now spill the beans, why are you so down today you aren't yourself" Ada asked concerned as she stared at Amy.
"I went to my house after the meeting with Kimber today, my door was open and I knew someone had been in my house, there was a box placed on my table with a blue rattle toy in it" Amy closed her eyes and Ada could only imagine what she was about to say next.
"When my fiancé was killed" She continued downing more of the whiskey in the bottle "I went insane, I was taking drugs, drinking, not eating or sleeping" She spoke as she looked to the floor in a complete daze blocking out her emotions, she knew if she looked at Ada she would have broke but she was too tough for that.
