Chapter 10: Lalisa Heard the Sound of the Door Locking, But Not the Sound of the Door Opening

She did not ask Jennie why Jeon Company was indifferent towards the matter, she was not that foolish. Ding Shang was only a chain restaurant under Jeon Company, the person in charge only had to report to Jeon Company periodically. Someone as trivial as Vice President Yao had no significant effect on the reputation of Jeon Company.

At six o'clock in the evening, Lisa and Sooyoung followed Yoongi to Hotel SY after work. On the way, You Yoongi reminded both of them to behave well.

"I'd hate to see either of you making a mistake and end up upsetting the client. If the company suffers a loss because either of you ruins the chance for the company to work with them, your internship period ends here and you can just leave right away," Yoongi warned and cast a glance at Lisa.

Lisa sniffed at the brief stare that Yoongi gave her on purpose. The corners of her mouth peeped a smile as if she did not understand the sarcasm directed at her and said, "As long as it's within the limits of my working competence, I won't let Manager You down."

Yoongi's facial expression went dull.

"Manager You, rest assured that I'll put my best self forward tonight," Sooyoung said as she attempted to please Manager You. "You don't have to worry about me, I'm just afraid that someone else's stubbornness and ego will get in your way."

Yoongi looked at Lisa displeasingly. He parked the car in the parking lot of SY and took them to the private room that had already been booked. After waited for almost half an hour, Ding Shang's Vice President Yao and the rest finally arrived.

Yoongi sat facing the door whereas Lisa and Sooyoung sat beside him. When Vice President Yao came over, Sooyoung offered her seat to him, so Vice President Yao sat between Lisa and Sooyoung.

Lisa felt uneasy about the seating position, but there was nothing she could do other than keeping her guards up.

A business dinner normally involved more alcohol drinking and less eating. Yoongi did not bring up anything about the business deal, so Lisa figured that she should know her place and said nothing about it as well.

Vice President Yao took the initiative to fill up the glasses of Lisa and Sooyoung with alcohol and said, "I don't think I've met them before."

"They're interns who just recently joined our company and have only been here for three months." Yoongi poured some alcohol into Vice President Yao's glass as well.

"No wonder they look so young. Look at their checks, so soft and plump as if water is going to flow out if I pinch them."

Vice President Yao suddenly pinched on Lisa's cheeks and said, "I see that you don't have any makeup on. Your skin's flawless. Let me see if you smell good."

Vice President Yao who reeked of alcohol drew his nose closer to Lisa to take a sniff.

Lisa recoiled in shock. Seeing Vice President Yao so shamelessly approaching her, she gritted her teeth and was about to stand up. However, her shoulders were pressed down by Yoongi.

"Lil' Lisa, Vice President Yao is someone who's very keen on giving guidance and offering help to the younger generation. You're in luck today. You should take this opportunity to learn more from him, there's no need to be shy," Yoongi said while holding her shoulders down.

"I think there are a few more dishes that are yet to be served. Let me go and urge them," Sooyoung said as she put on an act and walked towards the door.

Lisa heard the sound of the door locking, but not the sound of the door opening. Her heart sank, she bit her lips and stood up with her bag suddenly.

"Lil' Lisa, what are you doing?" Yoongi asked in a confrontational manner.
