(Ollie POV)

It was still the first day, feeling like a year had passed already. I had made a friend, Endid. Although her cheery personality made me think of my parents, she was cool and smart. "Olivera, come sit with me!" She waved me over as I held my tray, searching the room. My eyes landed on a familiar green set of eyes. Xavier. I'm going to try figure him out.

"Hi." I greeted her and her friends. We sat and talked throughout lunch. I only had an apple as the stress took away my appetite. "See you guys around!" I called to them with my still half eaten apple. I chucked it in the bin and got a shock when turning the corner and seeing a person. "You didn't eat throughout all of lunch." Xavier notes like speaking to himself. I continue walking, trying to make it to archery class.

"I don't know.. I think I'm stressed? Why am I even explaining to you?" I ask shrugging off my thoughts. I keep walking yet he catches up to me. "Can you just leave?" I stop in my tracks and face him. He smirks and raises his hands. "When was it a crime to attend archery?" He asked, his shiny white teeth forming a smile. "Ughhh!" I groan, stomping away dramatically. I hate him.

I make it to class, the teacher blabbing about how to shoot and arrow. I don't really care. "Love, you have to listen or else your going to be shit. Like you are at anything." Xavier whispers in my ear. It gave me chills. I rolled my eyes and covered my ears. I guess he had stopped talking since a beautiful dark skinned girl stepped up. She held the arrow like a pro and shot it, just missing the target. I clapped for her as well as the others. She raised an eyebrow and high fives her friends with a smug expression.

"Olivera, come up." The bearded teacher says. "Ollie." I murmur, grabbing the bow in my hand. "What was that?" He asked. I shot it perfectly on target. Like someone had placed it carefully. "Call me Ollie." I repeat, giving him the arrow back. I raise my eyebrows at the girl who had just performed as for she gave me a dirty look, so strong her cheek touched her eye. I stood back in my spot, people clapping for me.

I close my eyes in thought before doing something I didn't think I would ever do. "Who's that girl? Who has just shot the arrow." I whisper to Xavier pointing her out in the crowd. He sighs. "She's queen bee. Bianca. She used to Uh- be my ex." He replied awkwardly. "I didn't ask." I said with some pricking feeling at my chest. I search her confident figure. I'm going to find what's up with her

Classes were over and it was nearing dinner. I had been in my dorm room yet haven't spoken a word to Xavier who was yet again reading. "You like to read don't you?" I ask, not making eye contact. "What do you care?" He sneers also not making contact with me. "I don't. It just gives the impression that your a nerd." I shrug also reading. He also notices and chuckles. "Whatever you say, bookworm."

"Hey we are not friends." I remind him to which he drops his smile. I kind of feel bad, then I remember. "Not after what you did to me that day." He looked sincere and I kind of felt like hugging him but the memory made me feel mad. "I'm sorr-" I cut him short. "Save it for the next time you see my mother abuse me." I grabbed my book and left the room, angry tears in my eyes.

Making it to dinner, I searched the room for Endid finding no blond haired, cheery girl. "She's not here today." A voice called over my shoulder. I turned to see a fair skinned, thick eyebrows boy who was one of Ajax's friends. "Brandon nice to meet you." He gestured for me to shake his hand. "Oll-" he laughs. "I know who you are. Everyone kind of does." Welp, that made it awkward. I shook his hand and we sat down. I could feel a piercing stare and searched the tables full of people until it landed on Xavier.

He looked...jealous?
