I woke up to a loud, squeaky, bedspring-like noise coming from upstairs. Being my teenage, dirty minded self, the first thing that popped into my mind was... I'd rather not say. (A/N:😏) The house smelled of pancakes, cinnamon and a hint of chocolate. It couldn't be Mr. and Mrs. Carter because they leave for work extremely early and it was 7:29 according to my phone.

I pushed myself up with my elbows and took notice of my surroundings. Chris was sound asleep with his mouth agape (not to mention the drool flowing from his mouth), but Jack and Chloe were gone.

They must have made the pancakes, but that also means they're upstairs... doing... that...

Ew.

The squeaking stopped. I don't know how long they have been up there for but they came down about 10 minutes later. Chloe came down first, her left arm outstretched, then comes Jack holding Chloe's hand with his right. They didn't notice me when they came down because I was still on the couch being a lazy bum - the usual.

Both of them were grinning ear to ear and their eyes were practically hearts like this emoji 😍. Jack pulled Chloe back, forcing her to press against him and have her a small peck on the lips making her blush after. It was a cute sight, I'm not gonna lie, but what about Chris? He made Jack promise not to go out with her... I can't keep a secret like this from my best friend...

Not for so long at least.

I'll let them have their fun for now, but soon the time will come when I have to break the news to Chris...
