Ringing slowly grew louder as his vision got hazy. It's only noon, and Chime's already disassociating from the overstimulation of this period. He hadn't noticed till he started coming back to reality, a faint voice calling his name.

"Chime?" Timber asked, worry in his voice. Chime's vision came back as he raised his head and glanced over at his friend. The worry on his face made him feel a tinge of guilt as he looked away.

"Sorry." He muttered, Timber quickly hugging the boy.

"It's ok Chime, there's no need to apologize." There was a moment of silence from him before he spoke again. "... It was harder to get your attention. I think, whatever's happening is making it worse." He thought out loud, vaguely mentioning one of Chime's many mutations. Chime let out a sigh and put an arm around Timber.

"We'll talk to mom about it when we get home. For now let's just focus on getting through the day." He said, his voice more rough than before. Timber looked up at him with worry but nodded.

Chime sat on his bed, staring at his hands. Everything was eerily silent, till he began to hear Timber and his mom speaking in the distance. He couldn't make out any words they were saying, much to his dismay. He sat in silence before a small knock could be heard on his door.

"Come in." He muttered out, Timber stepping in holding something in his hands.

"Mom said this might help." He handed it to Chime before sitting down. "Though, you might feel sick afterwards." Chime glanced at him before looking at the item, a bottle filled with strange, glowing blue liquid. He popped off the top and chugged the whole thing. Instantly he felt off, but couldn't exactly pin point what felt off. He could feel Timber instantly holding him up.

"Chime? Chime are you okay?" He sounded panicked. Chime wanted to tell him he'll be okay but all he could get out was a groan. Timber laid him down, staying by his side as everything went black for him.
