Margot lived a peaceful life within the walls of her settlement that protected them from the zombie hoards roaming the earth. That is, until a group of raiders attack, and Margot is left as the only survivor. With little to no experience in the outside world, Margot is forced to make a deal with one of the raiders that turned rogue.

Fallon, a woman with sharp teeth and an even sharper tongue, offers to lead her to a safe-haven across the country called Project Hope, a facility built to house the last remaining humans as they work on a cure for the zombie virus. The only catch being that Margot has to let Fallon drink her blood. With no other options, Margot accepts the deal with the vampire, only to immediately regret it. Fallon is rude and secretive, and completely untrustworthy. And she is Margot's only hope to survive in a world full of flesh-eating monsters and bloodthirsty vampires.

Throughout their journey, the two start to grow closer, and what started as mutual distrust turns into something more as Margot and Fallon slowly open up to each other. But between the zombie hoards ready to tear apart their flesh, Fallon's old raider clan wanting her dead, and other humans willing to stab them in the back, they have to put their own feelings on the backburner if they want to reach their destination alive. In a world where everything is either dead or dying, Margot only hopes that love isn't dead, too.

Thank you for choosing to read my story. This is a first draft, so some things may change as I write, and I will be going back to make small edits to previous chapters as I go so that everything makes sense. Some of the earlier chapters were written a while ago, so they might not be as good as later chapters, but I might just be saying that because I hate my writing since I'm the one writing it lol.

Trigger Warning: This book contains violence, death, gore, and mentions of abuse and torture. There are also mentions of homophobia as well as internalized homophobia.

This book also contains mentions of mental illness, such as PTSD. If you notice that I have depicted anything wrong, please feel free to correct me.

I have tried to make a fairly diverse cast for this book, with characters of different races and LGBTQ+ characters. If anything I write comes off as offensive, please feel free to correct me because the last thing I want is for my writing to upset anybody.

Lastly, I hope that you enjoy reading this story, and I do accept constructive criticism as long as you're nice about it (I am very emotionally fragile and will cry).
