In The Heavens...
Enmei was the moon god. His brother being his complete opposite. His brother Watanabe Katsu was a sun god. They were each other's biggest support, but also the biggest competition. Out of the many gods that inhabited the heavens, both had a strong personalities.
Enmei rarely showed true affection. However, he loved the wolfbloods most. It is why he is sometimes referred to as the quote-on-quote "Great Wolfblood". Katsu sat in the garden with his brother. The conversation started lightheartedly. "I am worried you're putting all your energy into things for nothing. We aren't meant to forge our own destinies..."
Enmei snarled as he looked at Katsu. "ちょっと！私のために話すのはやめてください。 私は自分の決断を知っています。" (Hey ! Stop speaking for me. I am aware of my decisions.) Katsu fired back, of course. He loved Enmei but he was never afraid to stand up to his brother. "Really ? Is that way you fought the sky god ? To prove a point !?"
Earlier the sky god & Enmei had gotten into a fight after there was an assumption made that wolfbloods are too much of a liability. There were also rumors swirling that Fate had stepped in on behalf of the sky god... Having done something that completely enraged Enmei. "So what ? Are you saying I was just supposed to let what they did go ?"
Katsu sighed as he looked at the garden before them. "エンメイ、本気じゃないですよ。 そんなふうに戦っても何も変わりません。 あなたは今、理不尽なことをしています。" (You can't be serious, Enmei. Fighting like that won't change anything. You are being irrational right now.) Enmei thought back over the earlier events that they were currently discussing. The god of the sky had asked Fate to step in what they believed to be beneficial & bring peace. Hill Stone was once truly the home of wolfbloods while they lived in harmony with the humans in the area. Enmei purposely had given the wolfbloods Hill Stone, for them to have a proper home...
However, with one action from Fate all the wolfbloods were chased to the outskirts of Hill Stone. Shadows chased the wolfbloods out & dissipated once their purpose was fulfilled. In the many years to come, wolfbloods entered the city again, but kept to the woods. Kept away from humans without really knowing why they still felt uneasy even though Hill Stone was their home.
"I am being irrational ?! The sky god is lucky I didn't use my full power on him." Katsu hated arguing with Enmei over his temper, but it wasn't like Enmei ever thought of how his actions affected everyone else. "そうですね。 彼らに愛情を持っていることは分かりますが、それは他人を残酷に殴る言い訳にはなりません。" (You are. I get you have affection for them, but that is no excuse to brutally beat someone else.) Katsu didn't get to answer as a bloodied sky god interjected. "Let it go, Katsu. He'll never understand what he has done." This pissed Enmei off more than he previously was. "And what about what you've done ?"
The sky god ignored this as he continued. "決まりました。 渡辺円明さんは怒りに駆られた罪で監禁されることになっています。 彼は攻撃的で衝動的です。" (It has been decided. Watanabe Enmei is to be locked away for his crimes spurred from anger. He is aggressive & impulsive.) Katsu stood up upon hearing this news, "What ? How long will that last ? Where will he be held ?" The heavens was no place for violent disharmony in anyway. Enmei after all he had done was now regarded as the sadistic & brute god. One with a temper. The great evil in contrast to Katsu.
"For as long as we see fit, Katsu. I don't have an official time to give you." As for where Enmei would be locked up, he'd be in what the gods called quote-on-quote "The Sky Box". It essentially was a cell that was suspended in the sky & was adjustable to the inhabitants of the cell. So this meant that Enmei would be cut off from his power completely. Well, almost completely...
It wasn't long before Enmei was essentially chained & took to where he'd be staying for the time being. Some time passed before Fate visited Enmei. "What is it ? Come to gloat ?" Fate sighed as she took hold of Enmei' hands. She was well aware he would be angry with her. "もちろん違いますよ、エンメイ。 予言を見ました。" (Of course not, Enmei. I saw a prophecy.)
This grabbed his attention. He locked eyes with Fate. "What did you see ? Is everything alright ?", Enmei asked completely ready to hear whatever she needed to share with him. Fate told him something that gave him complete hope for the future.
Wouldn't you have loved to know what she told him ?
