dawn held her white pillow to her chest, scrolling through tiktok while her best friend, vadah, was on live. "why is dawn so quiet?" the other brown skinned girl read out loud before looking behind herself.
vadah hit dawn's leg, catching her attention, "what?" she said sitting up in the bed. dawn waved at the camera, crossing her legs in the process. "sorry y'all, i was on tiktok."
vadah shook her head, "she's always on tiktok." which was true, dawn was either on tiktok or instagram when she wasn't talking to her boyfriend. she had a short attention span and got bored of everything else quickly. "that's cause i don't want to hear you talking about jenn."
jenn was vadah's current drill crush. current because vadah always liked a different drill rapper every other month, especially the females. vadah had let out a sigh, "that's my wife !" she gushed going back to her phone.

"OH SHIT- DAWN, JENN'S ON THE LIVE" vadah screamed as she quickly grabbed her phone and ended the live. dawn laughed at her best friend, "you talk all that hot shit then end the live when she joins? pussy move v." vadah covered her face, smiling like crazy.
"shii you are what you eat" she mumbled just as dawn's phone started ringing. "facetime call from 'megamind 💙" siri read out. vadah rolled her eyes, "if you answer him i'm leaving" dawn shrugged connecting the call anyway. "whatsup?" dawn smiled, silently laughing as vadah left her room to go to her own.
"i hate you niggas, hope y'all related" vadah yelled as she closed the door. justin looked at his phone with a smile, "she a hater" he hummed setting his phone up on his desk.
dawn nodded, laying back down in the position she was in before. pillow hugged to her chest, phone in hand, now displaying her boyfriend instead of tiktok.
"what you been up too?" dawn asked staring at justin as he turned on his game. "mm nothing much, i was at the block for a while. dd had a video with noti so i tagged along" as justin talked about his day, dawn smiled.
she wasn't really into the whole gang thing but she loved how jay made it sound so calming. like his life wasn't at risk all the time. "where is david?" dd was one of the only other people that knew about dawn.
dawn wanted her and justin's relationship private and jay agreed because he didn't want the fans or 'opps' to know about her. so the only people besides them that knew were vadah, dd, melz, bria, and of course justin's mom.
"probably with melz. i came straight to my room when we got home and called you so i don't know" just as justin said that his room door opened showing the man of the hour, dd osama.
"yo ma said come here real quick" he spoke walking into jay's room to be nosey. "hi dd" dawn smiled waving at the younger reyes. "is that dawnnn" dd sung grabbing justin's phone.
he threw up some gangs signs, dawn of course taking pictures of him with a smile still on her face. "you good my heart? you haven't been to the house in a while" dawn nodded, setting her phone up on her nightstand as she got more comfortable.
"i been at school dd, something you need to be doing as well" unlike everyone else dawn stayed on dd about his school work. she knew the boy loved his music and he was going far with it but, she wanted him to learn more as well.
dawn was like a parental figure for dd, even though he hated to admit it. "nahhh my heart, i got music to be making, you know school not for me" dd shrugged. "mm i know, but do that work i don't care about them songs" dd knew dawn was serious, she always was.
"aiigh aiigh, ima do some of it" david gave the phone back to jay, who was mugging him the whole time for taking his phone anyway. "get out, tell ma i'm coming in a sec" dd mugged jay, pushing his head before running out the room with an evil laugh.
dawn shook her head, them reyes kids were something else. dawn pulled her cover over her, looking at her alarm clock. "i know you not sleeping at no 9:15" justin laughed getting out his seat, most likely to go speak to his mother.
"shut up i had school work today and i had to do a wig promo. plus, i live with vadah, she has me out everyday" jay smiled at his girlfriend, taking a picture of her curled up in her bed.
if vadah was in the room she'd call him sappy and disgusting for that.
"go to sleep, i'll be back i'm finna see what ma wants" dawn nodded, not being needed to be told twice as she turned her led lights off and closed her eyes.
