A few months later Zach has gotten more settled in the new town and the new school. He hasn't made a lot of friends but he doesn't mind since he's becomes friends with Phoebe, Grace, and Kate.
After they've all finish there home work Kate gets a smile as she turns and asks Mrs. Smith if they can go see Zach's house. She thinks a moment and says it's alright if Zach doesn't mind. Zach shrugs and gathers his bag and goes to the garage and rolls his bike across to his garage as the girls follow. They all go inside and begin exploring the house. Grace looks out the window to the back yard and gets puzzling look on her face when she looks at the sky and notices it's turned bright red. She turns and asks the others. Zach's eyes widen as he tells them to get away from the window. They all move.
"Can you all keep a secret?" the girls look at each other then nod. "Then tell no one about what your about to witness promise me you wont." Phoebe speaks this time.
"We promise." Zach's face gets serious, as a boy comes flying in the window and Zach side steps moving from his flight path.
"Well well it's been a while hasn't it mutt." The boy says as he stands up.
"You don't belong here now leave." Zach replies. The boy glance at the three girls huddled in the corner.
"Hey look."
"Leave them alone Brandon they're not in this."
"To bad I could use a snack." He takes step toward them and at lightning speed before their eyes, the girls witness Zach become a massive black wolf now blocking Brandon's path. Brandon acquires a somewhat intrigued face. Brandon vanishes only to reappear across the room holding phoebe. Zach lunges at him and he leaves Phoebe behind and appears in another part of the room.
"That's bold mutt." Zach growls at him warning him to back off. "Fine I'll go but you know the higher ups won't be happy." And like that Brandon disappears in a puff of smoke. Zach turns around to find Grace and Kate staring at him terrified and he whines. Phoebe slowly walks toward him saying his name. Zach stands there whining. She kneels in front of him and says his name again and he looks her in the eyes.
"Is that really you?" he nods and she wraps her arms around him in a hug. Grace and Kate stop quivering as they watch. Zach shifts back to a human state with Phoebe still hugging him.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." Phoebe shakes her head.
"No you were amazing." Zach wraps his around her hugging her back. Still you shouldn't have been put in that situation I'm sorry." Grace and Kate start awwing. Then Grace speaks.
"Sorry we don't mean to interrupt the moment but you two are cuter and more romantic then twilight." Phoebe and Zach blush quickly letting go of each other. Grace and Kate giggle.
"Well we should be getting home." Graces says as she and Kate leave.
"Yah I should get going to." Phoebe adds not moving yet.
"I'll walk you across. You now to make sure your ok." The two walk across the street and stand at her front door.
"So I guess I'll see you tomorrow."
"Yeah. I could give you a ride if you want." Phoebe gives a small smile.
"I'd like that." She smiles biting her lip then quickly kisses his cheek before hurrying in the door. Zach stands there and smiles then walks back across back to his house. Inside the door Phoebe watches until he goes in his door then turns to find her mother behind her smiling.
"You like him don't you?" Phoebe shakes her head and her father rushes in from the family room.
"She likes who?" He blurts out.
