A few weeks after the meeting with the council Phoebe and Zach had fallen back into their normal daily routines. They filled their friends in on what had happened with the council and gave them updates every time something new happened. everything seemed to be fine until Zach got an unexpected call. It was Monica with news about her arrival along with a few new friends.
Phoebe and Zach meet Monica a few miles outside town where they find her with 2 guys and 3 other girls. Zach and Monica bump fists and she introduces everyone. She starts with Allysa a very short dirty blonde a few years younger then Zach, then moves on to Madison who was Alyssa's best friend. Then came Chris a taller guy and Sarah his younger sister who just finished school. Finally came Keith who was the same age as Zach and phoebe.
After everyone was acquainted they headed over to Zach house across from phoebe's and everyone settled into what would be there temporary living space. Then they went to phoebe's and introduced everyone to their parents. After a few hours of talking to Monica, the other five and Zach's parents went across the street and settled in for the night.

The next morning Zach and Phoebe got ready for school, then went to pick up Keith, Alyssa and Madison but Zach's mom offered to drive them so Phoebe suggested taking the bus instead. They take off toward school and wait outside for the others to arrive and explain the new development to Grace and Kate.
"So that's everything. They should be here any time now." Phoebe finishes.
"Ok so the packs getting bigger. How do me and Grace fit in to this." Kate asks. Phoebe looks at Zach.
"Well technically if i say you can be considered pack but that means you could be in just as much danger as the rest of us. You must be sure you want to be part of it. Once your in this world there is no way out. The two of them look at each other then nod to Zach and he nods. "Then you two can pledge with the others later."
The school day goes by fairly uneventful, excluding a random fight between to jocks in the lunch room. Zach's mom picks them up after school and takes them back to Phoebe's. while everyone else sits to start their homework Zach and Phoebe walk toward the garage. "where are you to going?" Phoebe's mom shouts following them.
"Homework's already done." Zach shouts back as they get on his bike. Before Mrs. Smith can protest any further the two of them take off down the road.
"So where are we going any way?" Phoebe asks shouting over the wind.
"You'll see, its a surprise." Zach shouts back. After about forty minutes Zach pulls off onto a forest road and stops in the middle of the woods. They get off the bike and Zach leads Phoebe through to a clearing along a river that eventually drops off into a waterfall.
Phoebe stares at the beautiful area smiling, as Zach suddenly picks her up spinning her around. Phoebe laughs and wraps her arms around Zach's neck when he finally sets her down. Phoebe leans in laying her head on Zach's shoulder and the two stand there for a while. A few hours later the two are laying in the grass curled up to each other.
"You know we should probably head home right." Zach says.
"Aww can't we just stay here forever?" Phoebe replies pleading. "It's so quiet and peaceful, there's no one to bother us."
"I know i wish we could but we do have a pack now. it may be small but it's still a pack. Besides after tonight they'll be family, and we're gonna need all the family we can get. Having a pack means territory, and claiming territory means others will challenge us to take it." The pair sighs as they make their way back to Zach's bike and take off toward home.
